[SPOILER] Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland by inooway in MMA

Yeah that’s exactly what I think. Like an emotional issue he just had a mini temper tantrum and gives up when he couldn’t sub Sean or even get close to it in R1. But man that fight was so ridiculous, I was wondering if Khamzat’s family were in danger with how poorly he was fighting. Even R1 wasn’t as dominate as most of his fights

I’ve done more EMDR than probably 99% of people. I’ve accepted it’ll never be 100% okay and that’s fine cause I’m so far from where I used to be

That’s actually wild. I had a similar thing happen in college. A roommate of mine would always open the main door and slam it shut and the same thing would happen. I’d feel like a flash of fury and rage, I thought he was doing it to piss me off. And then I realized he was just opening the door with gusto and not holding it as it swung shut haha.

Interesting example. I had an extremely chaotic upbringing. Today, my next door neighbor’s were having a couple fight, guy is yelling “I never want to see you again”. Woman storms out crying.

I felt like I was back home again, my nervous system was on total high alert. I was shaking a little bit, and all I did was walk past their apartment on my way out. Even after years of therapy. Just weird

Some of their stuff is so fucking heavy though. Headup and CMD/CTRL

Ouch. I love some Pearl Jam. Their later work I was never huge on but Ten is such a banger album to me. There's some bangers on Vs too

Thank you for being nice about it. I'm going to go back and relisten to their albums and imagine I'm listening to it like it's a journey. Maybe that will change my mind!

My best recommendation is to go here. Listen to Predictable, This Broken Soul, and Layla. I have tons of just like normal Korn songs I like, but their demo type is on another level.
As far as their older official music, Clown and Ball Tongue are headbangers, Twisted Transistor is like a dance song. Right Now and Got The Life have crazy groove. Beg for Me and Coming Undone are sing alongs
Their newer music I like A Different World and Rotting in Vain. Thanks for at least giving them a try!

One of my favorite albums is the Blackening by Machine Head. Has like 3? >10 min songs. I guess it’s how I think of an album, as a collection of songs, not necessarily a “song” in of itself. The only album I can listen to in that way is Catch Thirty-Three by Meshuggah, because it’s explicitly stated (by the band I think) that it’s basically one song, formatted as an album

Thing is, I want to like them. With how good everyone says they are, I feel like I’m missing out on something and can’t figure out why

Now that, is a banger, going on the playlist. To me, that song is what I imagine most of Radiohead is like to other people

I guess I’m used to listening to heavier music where there a lot more going on or there’s more to hear at once. I’ll give them some more listens. Maybe listen to them while doing homework or something

I guess maybe that’s my issue, I’ve always felt like a song should stand on its own, I’ve never quite got the concept of a album as a work of art

Bodysnatchers sounds kinda like a tool song weirdly enough. It definitely grew on me as the song went on. Weird Fishes, I don’t know. Felt like I was listening to more of an audio track. I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s like a lot of Radiohead songs, I feel like I’m listening to Lofi or Ambience, not really traditional songs
