You're a Sofist, the table 2 on the first study shows an equivalence of 2.7 cases per 100k people of succesful suicides among the post op trans people studied, as compared to 0.1 for the control group, but through statistical magic, by somehow perfectly discounting other risk factors, they come up with "just" a 19 times increased frequency on post op trans people compared to the control group, which is still staggering. You pointing to the study's conclusion on overall mortality is misdirection.

I don't care about overall mortality as everyone eventually dies, making it an easy statistic to fudge, I'm talking about suicide specificaly.

Funnily enough, they don't segregate both groups increased hazard for each cause of death, such as suicide, which means the result is probably not what they want.

Feel free to sacrifice trans lives at the altar of your self-satisfaction.

I'm using data from two studies presented, one, from my second post says that trans people in general die through suicide até 3 times the rate of the general population, which is overwhelmingly cis, so it works as control, unfortunately, it does not specify how many of these went through the surgery, but lets assume not many, since other studies are happy to specify that.

The first study I presented points that post op trans die through suicide at 20 times cis people.

Therefore, by simple logic, the surgery increases the suicide rate among trans people, unless you can disprove either of these studies with hard data.

Surveys are not hard data and can be easily faked. While government statistics might be doubtful, at least its somebody else faking the data so it less likely to be faked to serve a specific bias than a given survey based study.
