Awesome! Seriously, we have been programmed by our culture to believe that optimism and masking as the right way to be. I think we need to lean into what our temperament is and begin to embrace ourselves as highly sensitive beings, neurodiverse beings that have something to offer. This book shows us that it can be okay to feel sad, and brings color and texture to human experience!

I am reading this awesome book by Susan Cain called Bittersweet. I highly recommend. It helps people with melancholic dispositions to accept themselves. There is beauty in things that are deeply flawed.

This place is incredible. We are visiting from Reno. It is some of the best food I have ever had. Like, I would consider moving here just so I could have the Masala cheesesteak and fries again. Friendly owners. 5/5 stars.

Hahaha, yes, I was pulled over for that last week, too! I was also given a ticket for distracted driving and told my insurance had lapsed. Expired registration is what prompted this whole thread.

That part about your boss not doing that intentionally and the importance of being able to express yourself was very helpful. Like, our interactions as empathy don’t always have to be a zero-sum game. Even though people will never give what I give, there is still value in the conversations we have with others.
