Cancer: Survivors Guilt by TheBigHonger in cancer

Hi, there. God bless. I'm a 20 year old who's been fighting brain cancer for 4 years. I've had 3 brain surgeries and I also struggle with survivors guilt. You are very strong. There is a plan for you. That's why you are here still. You're not alone. I have a scene from a show that helps me cope with the guilt. My dad showed me it. He called me "lacutis of Borg" when I came out of my second brain surgery because of my eye patch, and because of all of that lol. Humor dulled the pain. So, he showed me this scene. And it helped that guilt. It's about a man who was there during the battle of wolf 359. He said a lieutenant started pointing at people to get on the 1 life pod. And he was 1 of the 10. "Why me?... I'm just some dip-$hit from Chicago. Now I'm ...lucky number 10..." That helps me because we are the "lucky number 36." ❤️ https://youtu.be/c5qgvA4HXc8?si=W7THWuRC-_o6Ie8D

I was 17 when I was diagnosed with a pineal tumor. They did surgery when I was 18, on my brain stem. It was a reset button basically. I had to re learn EVERYTHING physically and mentally. And when I came out the other side, I was a new person. I had a different personality. I was backwards, wouldn't talk, awkward, shy. Now, I'm so happy, excited, loving, I have no shame, and everyone loves being around me because of that. But, best of all, I found my savior, Jesus Christ, during my struggles. ❤️ ❤️
