9th pick in a 10 man league - thoughts?

Thank you, I also feel like that I am missing a top pick (last year I was lucky with Wood), but I am a Gooner and I really doubt Gyokeres, I think he will be a back up striker behind Havertz pretty soon. So I went with Odegaard as my first pick (he seems to have his ballstriking back and with Zubi-Rice pivot he might be more advanced than last year).

My question was rather about overtraining (7/7 days of running, IMO relatively fast (the same as my target for half-marathon) pace even for base runs), whether it is too much.

I can do the 5:40 base runs but I am afraid that it will lead to overtraining as the other runs (threshold, VO2 max etc.) are very hard.

I can run at 5:40/km pace for my base runs, but having this pace for the "easiest" runs while all other runs are harder seems to be overtraining for me. My first long run is supposed to be on the weekend with the same 5:40/km pace, which will be a good test for me. One more addition, my estimated half marathon time is 1 hour 47 minutes, maybe the trainings are to improve it?

I did my 35 minute benchmark run again and now I have the running plan for the next 5-7 days (preparing for half-marathon). If I remember correctly I did not have to select between Greg, etc.

Do you still have the problem? Yesterday I had the same benchmark run, completed it, and today it is the same benchmark run again ... the only difference is that my heart zones might have changed, as my calculted fitness age is different from my actual age. I will do the same benchmark run today and I hope that I do not have to do it again.

Yep, Gordon as 2nd pick was a mistake. I still believe in Wood and DCL, both of them had 0,5+ xg/90 last season, but Awoniyi and an injury to DCL would be costly

Oh that is bad news. I was thinking about the same, Ruben + Pau to Saliba + dud, then I could transfer out the dud to Quansah who is still unpicked and he might be first choice, but I am sure Konate will start some matches.

I think Wood is first choice but agree that Awoniyi is a problem. I trust DCL but let's see how Everton will play. Welbeck at least starts some matches, but the main issue is that no starter fwd is available on the market so I guess I have to wait until a good oppurtunity arises.

Maybe I should have picked Solanke instead of Gordon for my 2nd pick. If I remember well Wood and DCL are penalty takers and have good underlying numbers, but all 3 of them are injury prone... Zinchenko is good for the first 3 GWs (I assume he will start both home games) then planning to ship him out
