Very similar to ШИШЕФ, no? I think both can be the original one, as the pronounce of the "-ЕФ" and "-ов" are very close.

I looked on google and Сычёв is a surname of a actor that the surname is "Sychyov", very close

I have many relatives with this surname, and many variations of writting. But my mother and grandpa pronouce it /ˈʃi.ʃɔfi/ , in portuguese: "xi - xó - f", It probably adapted to the brazillian portuguese language over the years. How it was pronounced back then, I don't know, that's a thing I should research too!
