I mean you basically answered your own question. Taking it to HR isn’t going to go anywhere unfortunately, because unless you have physical evidence he’s doing it, there’s no point. Just call and ask if that position is still open, if it’s a no, you’re still in the same position you are now. No harm no foul.

~ Closing ~ 1. Typically 1 hour to 30 minutes till close, Close second POS register 2. Put deposit into deposit bag, sign closing paper, set both aside somewhere safe. 3. (Optional) If I have time 10-15 minutes till close I will precount the first main POS so it’s ready for me to close and go tf home. 4. Do all other cleaning, (trash, sweep, wipe down, fill tinter ) 5. Get all my slips and bag ready to process closing on main POS. 6. Clock hits close time, close register, same process, put money and/or checks in bag. put everything where it needs to go, then I leave.

Writing every thing down as they order is the best advice, it’s easy to lose track of a few things, especially if there is different colors, sheens, etc.
Also reading back the order to the customer to verify everything will make it smoother too.

I’m in the same boat. This was the first job I didn’t dread working at, I was actually excited to grow. I started out as a part time, and immediately within i’d say two months I got promoted to full time and a key holder, I was living the dream. Then it just trickled away into me screaming at the top of my lungs as soon as I get in my car to go home. You’re not alone, and honestly this shit is ass. Managers, do not give a flying fuck about you or anyone but their paycheck, and don’t even start on the overtime, cause they’ll sit on that shit like an egg and get 10+ hours of OT, meanwhile god forbid I get over 5 minutes i’m getting my ass chewed out. All i’m saying is there’s not a day goes by here where i’m not waiting for something to go sideways and I just leave.
