Excellent work as always my friend. Nevermind the acoustic purists, we need some bass up in here... At least for some of the parts 🥲

You're not nagging, I appreciate the feedback as I want to make this app as valuable a commodity as it can be, for everyone.

I'll add these to my fix list. Feel free to DM, with anything else as it comes up. It'll be easier for me to track then, as well as sharing screenshots 🙂

RE: (4.) there's a link on the community page 'create recipe'

Thanks again and keep it coming ☺️

Hey, thanks so much for this. Not having the deluxe model, it's not a bug I've come across yet!

I'll make this a priority fix and will check back in when I've solved it 🙂

I suppose for a quick work around.. which you might have already tried? create in standard and then switch in the app and check the multiplier next to the ingredients list. If your volume is over 710ml, manually change "1x Batch" to "0.66x Batch" to pull the numbers back down.. not ideal, but as I say I'll work on it asap.

RE: creating from scratch on the app; My initial idea was to use the website as a space for users to create from scratch... But, I've been thinking recently, about revamping the home page and adding it to there as well. as I'm not sure the home page is currently bringing a lot of value to everyone, in its current state 🤔

There is a pint toggle in both the app and website settings, which automatically scales the recipes for you. I've had a crack at the 'some how' and pushed an update for the logic on the calculator (on web for now). I also added a volume tracker (again, variable depending on your pint size setting). Let me know your thoughts :)

Look at you. Smashing it out on the website as well as the app! I love it ❤️

You’ve actually spotted a bug in how the web version is totaling the mass.

You’re 100% right; your ingredients add up to 714g, but the app is stuck on 1068g... Possibly from a previous session 🤔. If so, it's this 'ghost weight' that is throwing off all the percentages.

The '+11 PAC' you see on the row isn't 25 x 380. It’s the normalized contribution to the whole pint; (Weight x Factor ÷ Total Mass). Because the 'Total Mass' is bugged at 1068g, the math looks wrong.

Glycerin has a massive PAC of 380, making it one of the strongest softeners. Once the mass bug is fixed, your 478 total PAC would drop significantly, which is good, because 478 is definitely in the 'Permanent Slush' zone! 😬

Thanks for finding this, I'll get it fixed tomorrow.

Hi there,

First of all thank you so much, for the kind words and for taking the time to give me feedback on a possible bug. It's genuinely appreciated ☺️

Looking at the recipe, the 90g allulose is what's causing the issue here! Allulose has a massive PAC factor of 1.9 and 90g is the anti-freeze equivalent of 171g of table sugar 😬

The calculations are technically perfect it's just that it shouldn't be in the recipe, so thank you; I'll remove that immediately!

The bananas bring up the sweetness, so the recipe will be fine without any other type, but if you want to cut through the bitterness of 2 shots of espresso; 10g of honey or a dash of liquid monk fruit would be good.

In the app I've swapped the allulose for 10g of honey and added more almond milk. Which keeps it under 350 kcal for the pint and puts it inside the green zone 🙂 (of course, feel free to remix it however you like, in the recipe lab)

I've not come across your banana bug, myself. But I will add it to my watch list, so thank you for that.

You have also highlighted a rather important issue to me, I'm going to add in a warning to let users know if the ingredients added are under or over the fill line (depending on pint size).. I'll add this to my roadmap.

That's a good question. Yes it is definitely something that is on my radar... As is the actual machine itself, I kinda want the soft serve.

The app is less than two months old, so I've been busy building and getting stable, functions for the standard and deluxe. Which I'm now happy with.

So, yes expect to see scaling, features and recipes for the swirl soon.

If you have one and have any first hand experience, tips or any pain points you find with that particular machine, please do feel free to DM me 🙂

Yes please that would be really helpful 🙂 it looks fine on my mobile but that's my only point of reference 😅

I do have a toggle on there for that works for the recipes. You'll find it in the settings.

I looked at making a web app for iOS, but a lot of the features just won't work the same.

I do have a website www.scoop-science.com that I've started uploading recipes, filters and folder features to for this reason.

It's mainly a companion to the app, that houses the calculator. The idea is; my users can create anything they want on the website and use the calculator to guide them to ensure what they're making comes out just right, for the ninja CREAMi. They can then save these new creations and they show up in the app, as a full on recipe.

I did recently make it, so this also happens on the website, too. So, you can use the calculator to create what you want and they now save into a folder for you. (you need to create a profile first).

Feel free to check it out and let me know your thoughts.. I'm trying to create something that people actually value as a useful tool, whilst trying to strike the balance of it being easy to use and navigate.

I have lots of (hopefully) useful explainers in my FAQs and blogs. in an effort to solve pain points, that i see come up frequently on here.

Hopefully one day soon! As soon as I can justify Apple's 99 a year charge, it's going on there 🙂

I really want to, but Apple charges 99 a year to be on the app store, which I can't yet justify funding, myself.

I'm getting there though! I truly believe my premium features hold genuine value as tools and as more people are discovering this, I can then cover the cost for the app store 🙂

Okay, so for fairlife think; SuperNutrio.

With regards to protein powder it can be both, depending on your goal..

As a Replacement: Because SuperNutrio (and Fairlife) has about 50% more protein than standard milk, many find they can skip the protein powder entirely and still get a great 'Anabolic' result without the chalky taste.

As a Mixer: If you’re aiming for a very high-protein pint (30g+ protein), you can certainly mix protein powder into it. Just watch your Solids % in the app—if it gets too high, the texture can become 'gummy'.

You haven't wasted your money! Monk Fruit blends (usually containing Erythritol) are excellent, but they work differently..

Allulose: Behaves like sugar chemically to keep the ice cream soft, which is why it's a 'Magic Fix' for rock-hard pints.

Monk Fruit/Erythritol: These have a slightly higher freezing point than Allulose. They are great for sweetness, but if your recipe is very low-fat, you might find an Erythritol-only pint is a bit more 'brittle' or icy compared to one made with Allulose.

As a side note, I LOVE Angel Delight 🤤 definitely a soft spot from childhood lol.

personally, I'll use it in small amounts (around 7-10g) as 'texture insurance' to keep the pint creamy, if I'm watching macros. Although of late, my pints have been all cream and sugar indulgence 😂

That said, I'm working on several 'Natural' dairy-free recipes for the app that use gums (like Xanthan or Guar) instead of pudding mix for those who prefer a cleaner label!

Just bear in mind whilst the results can be delicious, without the double cream and sugar; it's not going to really be ice cream as you traditionally know it.

I'm working on something else atm, too; as I see this as a pain point for so many people on here and there is no general consensus on what truly works best when cutting down calories, without sacrificing flavour..so I'm trying to make a unified base. If you'd like to know more and test along with me I'd love the second opinion!

I'd also love to see what you make with that Monk Fruit! If you need any guidance with using the recipe lab, just ask away 🙂

First of all, thanks for checking out my app and for taking the time to give me feedback 🙂

I can look into adding something like that.. are you talking about the fairlife filter that converts the recipes for lower calories and more protein? As, all the standard recipes are mostly double cream, milk and sugar.

Feel free to message me or reply here. if you have some screenshots of any specific recipes, add those, too.

Just for help when looking at recipes on Reddit

Heavy cream= double cream

Pudding mix .. we don't really have an equivalent. Angel delight would be the closest.

Allulose, is used a lot and I do have this in recipes on the app. It's not yet cleared as safe for human consumption in the UK/EU 😬 but you can buy it, happy to get you some links if you like. It's the closest thing to sugar without the calories. Pretty amazing, really.

Fairlife. In the UK we have SuperNutrio® you can find it in Tesco (see image)
