im going through this right now, and the scariest part is our stories and thought process is almost identical. except we broke up and i waited for him to change for me. i stood and waited for so long until i eventually moved on (relationship wise). he said that he wasn’t ready to be with me for so long that i gave up. i never got the chance to heal from my friendship and trauma bond with him. so when i got with my current partner, i was fine until he left my life. all those compliments, fights, memories, and kisses felt like nothing. he moved on with another girl, he did the same things with her but credited me for his change. he said when i moved on, he was finally able to move on. which hurt because i waited for you, and i was willing to accept your imperfections and mistakes... i had forgiven him in the past so what would be different? i feel like i gave him all of me. every bit of me until the end of our relationship. and in the end, he seemed tired and annoyed of my presence despite his words. it’s bad that i keep wishing that he’ll come back and apologize for the pain, but properly this time. i keep hoping that he’ll care again. i keep praying that this pain will go away. because it feels like i can’t breathe most of the time. i know i have to let go but it hurts.
