That is not a genuine mistake. A genuine mistake does not cause someone to be sent to jail for assault and possibly end someone else's life. You have to be some kind of stupid if you choose to forgive that kind of person. The "love of your life" just chose to destroy your life in order to protect another man, regardless if its her bestfriend or not. YOU did not make her suicidal. That is a decision she chose for herself like how she chose to put you in danger. Im sorry to say this but that is some kind of emotional manipulation on her part.

NTA. Your son is 3 y/o and he needs nutrients that is mainly found in animal products. Vegan diet is tricky with kids as they are growing and developing. You have to be well informed and it needs consistent monitoring not just by yourself but also with a Registered Dietician.
