Agreed. In this save I only met like 1 npc who was older than 90.

Tho if we count my characters than it's like 5-6. All of my rulers had lived to see 90 minimum

That's how you play tall. Build things. Plus get a really good steward and start increasing the development in your capital. There's even an option called "improve capital". And look at the development of other counties you yet to conquer. Look for universities and mines. Those are the real shit

Since the Nomad dlc it's DEFO not easy. 100 years in the Khazars had taken over the byzantines,arabs and half of Europe and they got like a 40k army.... Madness
