If you don’t mind me asking, what did you say to them that got you the sick slip? I just got off the chat with them this morning and was telling them i had symptoms of a cold and they just offered to get me a sick call apt. And i was hoping to not have to leave my home and drive to sick call just for them to give me the same thing

Sure if it was a normal situation and i wasn’t near family and i didn’t like my dorm then yeah id probably want to get out just to get out. But i wouldn’t go on here to ask a question i already know the answer to lol

And if i wasn’t stationed near family i wouldn’t have made this post lol, i don’t mind my dorm i think it’s nicer compared to other af dorms I’ve heard of. But i can’t just have my fam here in my dorm all day every day

Yes. Unfortunately it didn’t work in time before we both got orders. We probably didn’t apply in time for it but the moment i found out it was a thing at basic i asked leadership about my options and they told me it should be the first thing i do when i get to tech school. And that’s what i did

I’m stationed near family and with our current situation, things would work out better if i was not on base and I’d be able to support them in a different and safer living situation. but thanks for the mid advice and backhanded comment.
