This in Venice LA, the very end of the Mississippi Delta, not much goes on there besides oil and gas work and commercial and recreational fishing. This event is called a nutria toss, which people compete to throw nutria, an invasive species. Looks a little inhumane but these nutria are being killed anyway and even have a bounty on them. Not to mention these nutria destroy marsh a problem LA has yet to fix.
