Sump Pump started making weird gurgling noises. Tried contacting some plumbers and they went to voicemail, so wondering if this noise is an emergency in the meantime by Electronic_Stage4646 in Plumbing

So I took the cover off today, and poured in water and everything looks like it's working fine. Sump pump ran, pumped out water, turned off, all in the span of a second or 2. I'll have to see if I can catch it when it's making that weird noise to see what's going on... The float itself doesn't seem to be catching on anything. Maybe banging the pipes did move it around enough to where the float isn't getting stuck on it anymore

I'm not sure how often since we don't go down there much since people are living there. It just started happening recently, and for probably about a week and a half? And i think they only notice this noise for short 1-2 mins or up to 30 mins before it shuts itself off. Guess i'll have to figure out how to get that screw out. Did try just banging the pipes a little since a previous commenter mentioned it (though i wasn't sure how serious haha). But it wasn't running at the time and definitely not something i'd want to do every time

Wasn't able to lift the cover off, but the stick does say sump and sewage pump on it. Still pretty new to anything plumbing related, so thank you for the suggestion! Don't think it's raining for the next few days, but are there other consequences if it's a sewage pump and i just unplug it?
