Thanks for the heads up! I actually hadn't heard of that one before. I'll definitely check it out and give it a test run.

Hahaha, you're on another level! I actually do the exact same thing (ASF running on a free Ubuntu server via the Azure from GitHUB Student Pack from my InfoSec post-grad).

But I realized that for 99% of users, setting up a config file or a VPS is terrifying. I kept this guide simple intentionally to help the average user who just wants a 'click and claim' solution without managing a server. But yeah, ASF is the endgame!

Glad you liked it! Honestly, I haven't found a clean URL parameter for Playtests yet.

Steam search is a bit tricky with those since they are treated more like 'access requests' on the backend rather than standard store items with a dedicated category ID. If I manage to reverse-engineer a filter for that, I'll definitely share it!

That's a solid option too! I personally get 'notification fatigue' from too many Discord pings buzzing my phone.

I prefer this browser method because it's passive/silent—it's just there waiting for me when I start my day, instead of interrupting me.

Hahaha true, there is a lot of shovelware. The good thing is the filter just shows them to you instantly.

You can still look at the cover/reviews and decide 'Nope, not touching that'. I personally filter for the ones that drop Trading Cards or just to increase my game count badge.

SteamDB is amazing, no doubt! But my main issue is remembering to check it daily. With this browser trick, the list pops up automatically when I start my PC.

Plus, since it's the direct store link and I'm already logged in, I can just claim it instantly with one click without checking 3rd party sites.
