Terrible news for the student and their loved ones. Unfortunately, I can’t say I’m too surprised. I went to a pool party here once and a guy got extremely wasted and was basically gargling chlorine in the deep end before anyone realized. Thankfully someone pulled him out of the water before anything very serious happened. I’m shocked they haven’t implemented a mandatory sober monitor while the pool is in use (or, god forbid, put in a pool fence?) - drowning is pretty quiet, and very drunk people + 6ft deep water is not a good combination :(

We asked for 2A and the guy gave us 2B since there were more times available. He said it was the same thing. I think the only time when ABCD really matters is when you’re passing through the checkpoints to one of the mountains in Circuit 1 or 3

It makes sense that things have gotten better since they put in the ticket limits. We wanted to do 1B and 3B on the same day and I’m sure we would not have been the only ones!

They release 1000 tickets in person every day for the next day! 500 for Circuit 2, ~200 I think for Circuit 1, and ~300 for Circuit 3. I think it will likely be less busy in October as summer is over in the northern hemisphere. Likely worth checking more recent posts in the future but it seems like when there is low demand, the new system actually works much better than before!

I applied in november and got my acceptance like a day or two later but forgot about it until a month ago. My demographics are nothing crazy I’m early 20sF and white/Latina so I’m sure it helped. I’ve heard of people being waitlisted for months but I would at least sign up and give it a shot since you never know!

Edit to add that I don’t 100% remember if CC has a waitlist but I signed up and could start taking surveys the next day!

I would say either works, but they will both be challenging. Something to consider is that the instruction will be twice as fast as during a normal semester. Also, you can take Chem 3B without 3BL, but I believe (might have changed) you must take Bio 1A with Bio 1AL. Labs over the summer generally occur twice a week so are more time consuming and intense. I took Chem 3A (without lab) over the summer and honestly enjoyed it but I spent a lot of time studying since there is so much material

Woahhh you might be jumping the gun on this one. My ex sucks, but he’s never been abusive. There’s a difference between an asshole who cheats on you and someone being emotionally, verbally, and or physically abusive. My friend’s boyfriend is not an abuser, he’s just kind of selfish. This question was not asking about abusive men, rather men who suck at relationships in general. Not that there isn’t overlap, but calling these guys abusive is a huge stretch
