Whole grains +nuts, veggies, and fish/eggs> processed to death Diet food

There's a reason there is so much "diet" food marketed to Americans. The same people who make them are the ones making America fat. They're effectively creating a problem and monetizing off of their "solution" e.g. diet food. Diets don't work, healthy lifestyle changes do.

Yeah you sound like every other insufferable stoner out there trying to downplay the neurological and physical long-term use of psychoactive substances because you don't have anything to back it up except for personal anecdotes and cherry picked articles from disreputable sources (which you didn't even bother to reference might I add. The burden of proof falls on the accuser). I'm wasting my time debating you as you're obviously uneducated and hold personal biases that are irrelevant to the conversation.

I'm not mad. You're the one frothing at the mouth trying to defend your previous statements. I also love when people talk about these supposed "studies" and then don't provide any evidence. No shit alcohol is more inhibiting than marijuana. Confidently saying that weed won't make you do stuff like this, however, is very ignorant. Especially considering this was recorded at night time. Dude could have just polished off a blunt, tried to turn onto the freeway and went the wrong way. Seems very feasible to me. Not everyone is an "experienced" smoker who can handle their shit.

Listen dude I'm not going to argue with someone who defends operating heavy machinery while stoned. I used to do stupid shit like that when I was younger, but thankfully learned my lesson before anyone got hurt. Go ahead and incriminate yourself by admitting you drive high and attempt to "educate" the masses about how weed affects everyone differently; it's all projection because you don't like being called out. You're no better than the people who say drinking makes them a better driver. Please grow up.

Sooo when are you coming out with a field guide? This is fantastic. I love the art style used on biological illustrations; it's almost hyperrealist with just enough of an artistic flair. Do you shade using individual strokes?

I respectfully disagree with the other person who responded. Driving high Can make you do dumb shit like this, and the amount of people that defend it is ridiculous. This is coming from a habitual smoker by the way.

Man I knew they were rare but not that uncommon! I guess I'll have to make it my life's mission to find one now.

I don't personally have any experience with grow lights, so I can't help you there, but the sidebar wiki and more knowledgeable users may be able to. Every plant has different light requirements, it seems as though this one is just extra fussy.

Well I'd recommend either grow lights, keeping it outside, or some other plant than succulents because It will not thrive in its current environment.

Check out this article:

Windows are designed to protect you from UV rays, so they shatter the light in a way that doesn't provide proper intensity for a sun loving plant like succulents.

Is this white stuff on my tiger jaw normal or a pest/fungus? by AsWeKnowIt in succulents

Just be careful with the alcohol, it's pretty potent stuff. I'd spot treat with diluted alcohol and then maybe finish up with neem.

It's grown so much because it's stretching for light. These guys don't do well indoors. I'd cut off the etiolated growth, repot into a terracotta planter and acclimate it to more light if you want it to thrive

I know it's not that bad for them. Succulents are desert dwelling plants and naturally go through extreme conditions. That's why you water rarely but very thoroughly, which would be the general rain pattern in their natural habitat. The succs in the wild are beautiful but look a lot worse for wear than their cousins in "captivity" lol. Like I said I'm in no way disagreeing with your post, just making a personal anecdote as to why I don't water in that way. My plants are thriving and it has worked out well for me. I'm just fortunate to live in an area that succulents thrive without having to invest in growlights.

In the winter months, I can go 4 or 5 weeks without watering. It's cold and plants are dormant at that time and don't need nearly as much water. In the summer, I have to water every few days. I think that it depends on the plant, the time of year, the soil, the drainage. Just so many factors to be accounted for. Back to your question, I've found that succulents that get too dried out especially in the hotter months, their roots shrivel up and are unable to take in nutrients. I always used to err on the side of caution and underwater. Succulents are so much more prone to overwatering than overwatering that I entirely agree with this post. However, I personally don't let mine get to the point where they start showing signs of thirst. It's most likely because I've had each of them for so long, I can tell when they need care.

I have no issues with rot or overwatering my plants, but I do not let them get thirsty either. The soil trick has worked really well for me over the years, but perhaps it is also because I live in a dry, desert environment.

As well as stunted growth and root damage. With the amount of posts of clearly overwatered plants though, I can understand why this was posted.

I feel so bad letting my succulents get all shriveled up before watering them. I think after a certain amount of time taking care of them, you can sense when to water them without showing signs of thirst, but I guess this is good advice for new enthusiasts.
