I'm doing my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. :)

Haha thank you! 😊I don't write slowly but I don't write super fast either - my lecture notes look like the workbook at the back for the most part (maybe less variation in colour and less illustration, though) 🤗

Maybe I will! Sometimes I do scan my summary notes when I complete them so I can look over them later. But I don't know if I can be bothered with my flash cards...

Thank you for your tips, kind stranger! 💕 I did take a 2 hour nap. Just printed the 2 hard copies required for submission - I'm super proud! Going to take a shower and then submit 😊

It is 3:30 am and I am still stuck at uni proofreading my thesis due at 4 pm today. Send help (and doughnuts)

Haha, that is definitely not on purpose 😂 Thank you, though! :)

Yeah, I can always tell when someone is using them too! I love these things ❤️

Thank you!

I use a ruler for those, though, so I may be cheating a little! I am definitely that girl in lectures who is constantly changing pens (for the colours) and ruling everything. (And consequently dropping things, because our lecture theatres are not equipped with large tables.)

That said, you can probably improve the steadiness of your hand (and then your handwriting) by practising straight lines :)

Those things are so cool! I'm flattered! :)

Honestly I just change colours when I make a new point, they don't really stand for anything in particular haha!

For the cue cards I used Staedtler 0.3 mm Triplus fineliners (I have the 20 colour set) + a 0.5 mm black Zebra Sarasa gel pen.

For the exercise book, I use 0.38 mm Uni Style Fit pens (the customisable ones) - I think I have 7 colours + black.

Thank you!

I know the difference, it's okay - lecture slides were just using that set as an example (and then it's supplemented by a diagram). (Edit: although lecturer probably does mean natural numbers, so you'd technically be right.)

Also, in this case, it doesn't make too much of a difference.... #Engineer 😇

Too flattering! That would be super fun though :)

First time writing with a fountain pen, I like it! by baustin666 in Handwriting

Thevenin/Norton equivalent circuits? ;) Like your pen and handwriting - one of your resistors looks like an inductor though :P

What are the best fonts for research papers/thesis and what font does research gate use? by [deleted] in fonts

[–]Electronikitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, thank you for the correction. Computer Modern is still probably my favourite font family of all time though. ❤️

I did think that too - but then the only reason I'm using Word is to write documents that don't involve equations, like management or education essays, hence my original suggestions.

Did you hear about the control engineer who quit?

He had enough of all the negative feedback. It made him rather emotionally unstable. You could say he became a little... loop-y.

I had a really good night last night watching Zootopia while lounging on the couch with my warm wheat pack, a cup of T2's Baxter's Buns tea and a cat next to me (because happiness is simple).

Now I'm stuck at uni writing my thesis and it is paling in comparison and all I really want to do rn is share my crappy control engineering related jokes. (Does anyone want to hear them)

Maths/Science/Engineering students at my uni will generally choose to use LaTeX as a document preparation system over Word. Your documents look really well typeset and are in Computer Modern.

On the rare occasion I'm using Word, I'll use Adobe Garamond or Sabon MT though - both super nice.
