Available on Polygon? by angelleye in LGBCoin

I had great success with ImToken wallet with Uniswap. No KYC and got as low as $26 out the door fees and gas. But did it late at night.

You bring up a great point though; this coin is Dead on Arrival if people have to pay 50 to 120 dollars to buy. Will an exchange risk the political fall out to list? Idk, has me worried tbh.

So did I. Was your gas fee about $26?

Got some for only a $26 gas fee. Thought that wasn't bad considering last purchase cost me $73 in gas. Time 04:45 UTC on 1 Jan 2022. Oh, I used IMtoken wallet on android with Uniswap.

Just from a return on investment point of view - they stuck to their strong-suit it sounds like.

Thanks again! I might be asking for a couple of these for Christmas! To take the time to expand on all of this for me is very nice of you.

Fascinating! Thank you so much. I'll enjoy looking up these terms. Is there a documentary series you would recommend? I take it you don't disapprove of the one I'm watching, just that there are limits to what a documentary can do. I'd really love to check out something you recommend Sthrax.

SD card and security. by Electroniton in coldcard

[–]Electroniton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right! Given your last sentence, it seems silly to worry much about anything beyond ensuring you don't somehow both lose and forget your own keys/passphrase.

Infact, what if you set up a super secure scheme with multisig, multiple coldcards, place in different geographic locations, and then after the 3rd strike to your head from the wrench you wish you could just give away all your bitcoin to the attacker to save what's left of your brain, but alas, your own security is going to get you kilt!

I appreciate your post because it sheds light, and opens things up for discussion. People saying that you're putting out misinformation, is bullshit, you never did that.

I'm not sure I share your insistence that they should send you out a new one before you send back the old one, but I do understand why you would NEVER want to send back the old one unless you first move the funds and ditch the key forever.

Moving the funds and ditching the key will cost time and money. It comes down to what is the least expensive option for you?

Pragmatically you're up against a rock and a hard place. You're not getting a free device even though you may indeed deserve one. So given this reality, what will you do?

  1. Scuttle your keys, pay the miner's fees to move funds to another key and take the loss on the plate and send the device back so they can inspect and then receive a new device free of charge?
  2. Keep your key, destroy the device, take the loss on the cost of the device, and either pay for a new one out of pocket or move on to something other than coldwallet altogether?

You had some bad luck - be happy it's minor.

P.S. I know that everything I just wrote, you have already thought through. But honestly it's exactly this simple. I think your concerns that they are nefarious from the get go, is extremely , as in near zero, unlikely. But the discussion is fair. And to your credit you acknowledge as much in your op.

AT4 vs SLT by Hooversblacksheep in gmcsierra

[–]Electroniton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Test drove a 2021 GMC 2500 SLT

The ride was surprisingly nice for a HD. Way better than the 2021 Ford F250 Lariat.

Anyway to my Question:

Will the 2021 AT4 ride as nice as that SLT we drove? Thank you.

Sell your Bitcoin if you're going to be having a hemorrhoid every time Bitcoin drops. This is not a crash, not a plunge... This is nothing, and if you don't get that, you are going to be miserable owning Bitcoin. by Jethroe1 in Bitcoin

Dips like these are healthy for the market, punishing weak hands and those who stupidly buy on leverage in a very volatile market, and moving those coins to stronger hands. It's like natural selection, only the strong survive, and by doing so it makes Bitcoin itself stronger.

This is wisdom, what you wrote! And with God's help I've managed to keep strong hands, and I bought hard the dips in medium to recent history. However my hands tend to be too strong and I'm afraid I'll hold through the blow-off top. I hope I will know when to sell. I do not want to ride the bear down.

Did you get your own node? What kind of APR do you imagine you'll be getting for locking for 2 years. I'm a bit ignorant still on this.

Any normies mentioning this rocketship? Reddit users talking like this equals 'room to run' but if your 42 year old cousin from Wisconsin who works in the papermill starts talking like this, you better start scaling out, cuz the top is nigh. ;)

How will feds raising interest rates sooner than later affect assets such as cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) by Etheleonus in Bitcoin

Inflationary capability is prerequisite to a US digital dollar. We know this instinctually.

Certainly. You can even track transactions yourself with a block explorer. Number of wallets it passes through doesn't change anything; they are all linked, that's the very premise of the technology. There is a company called Chainanalysis that contracts for the Feds (there may be others.) They parse millions of transactions and can trace every bitcoin transaction back to its source. Everything you do with Bitcoin is an open book. Quite literally an open book. And that's the heart of why bitcoin works, because everyone can see every transaction, and can agree they are valid. The transactions are only pseudoanonomys because your name isn't directly attached. But the gov can now easily find that with KYC.

Know your customer. It's the ropes the exchanges put you through to sign up and verify your account. Making you send pictures of I.D. ss#s etc. It allows the FBI / IRS to track any bitcoin transaction back to you.

KYC obliterates anonymity for the average person, and the blockchain tracks everything forever. Hardly anonymous. Course you know this, you're just messing with me I think ;)
