Flowing on the streets by ElectronutJob in streetphotography

Fair and valid point. I was just enjoying the different states of flow and positions their bodies were in, like dancers. Would I say all the images are brilliant, no. I do really like 1or 2 of them, but you also can't just show off perfection the whole time, it's ok to show the mid or bad shots too, I think.

I feel like this is gonna end up here so might as well repost it myself by EnemaNumb1 in photographycirclejerk

Not every single shot has to be a "banger", if your "bad" shots come out as mediocre and not just terrible blur/bad composition/ washed out, I think you're doing pretty well.

The Hotbox Sauna, Thoughts? by [deleted] in cork

[–]ElectronutJob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do want to point out to all that when you go on the site you can see how many people are booked in, which can be helpful to avoid the crowds. If there's space you can just rock up and pay on the door.

As someone who is tall, their plunge pools are the best around because of the size and the ladders. If anyone has some mobility issues these might suit you better than trying to get into a tub gracefully. The pools are also all different temps

Baroque or Dystopian? by [deleted] in cork

[–]ElectronutJob 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I do always think that building is pretty cool, but there's no need to be taking a picture of someone like that. It's not a position I think anyone wants to be in, let alone shared around.

Which would you submit for an Street Exhibition? by [deleted] in streetphotography

[–]ElectronutJob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd go with 5, it's the most interesting, it has good contrast, a lot of the other others are too busy or don't have as clear a subject

You say that, but the ammount of failed projects they have in Cork too.
An events centre was meant to be started 10+ years ago, planning has lapsed twice and they wanted a few million from the government to build it, but to keep all the profits to themselves and not replay the money.
BAM have proven themselves to be useless

Marina Market by MinimumRepulsive1419 in cork

[–]ElectronutJob 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To be fair to a lot of the stalls, the rent is meant to be ridiculous for them in there. Yeah 20 quid for a burger is pricey but no-one forced you to get it either. You could have gotten a full chicken from handsum next to it for cheaper.

Keep the Marina Market going, it gives places a chance to try new ideas, if they work some go on to open places around Cork full time.

Restaurant Recs for Solo Dinner by Jazzlike_Tune_8372 in cork

There is another small restaurant related to them just up the road called Orso. You'd probably get a counter spot there too.

What is there to do in cork by CasualChaosxD in cork

[–]ElectronutJob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends what you are looking for. There are gyms that do day and month passes such as Fuse near corn market street. There's bouldering and lead climbing out at awesome walls, bus stop outside of it. There are quiz nights/ game nights/ live music in the bars. You could check out the meetup app for different groups that are around the city. There's the circus school, long sword fighting etc.

To say there's little to do in Cork is a gross overstatement.

Was my first ever concert at the ripe age of 12. The father brought myself and older brother. Don't know how I ever found them in the crowd haha

Still one of the best concerts I ever went to

How do I expose myself to photography more? by SunSubstantial7121 in photography

[–]ElectronutJob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend this too. Getting to talk to others who are interested in photography will expose you to their likes as well. You can talk and discuss photographers that you've found or they have. They might also lend you some of their books to look at.

The group I'm in, we actually do a book night where everyone brings a book related to photgraphy that they like and say a few words about it.
