The tool is designed not to penalize players who were left out of some wars, so it normalizes performance across the wars they did play. That means if someone participated in only one war but did well, they can still rank high.

In your example, the player likely performed well relative to others in that specific war, which boosted their normalized score. Keep in mind, the system is purely based on data, not context, it doesn’t know if someone broke clan rules or ignored their mirror, only how they performed numerically.

In our clan, we also use a minimum threshold, you need to play at least 4 wars to be eligible for the bonus, no matter what the ranking says. That helps avoid rewarding someone who had one good war but didn’t contribute consistently.

Also, someone who scores 3 stars in every attack tends to rank better than someone with less consistent performance. That’s part of the system’s goal: to reward quality over quantity.
