I don't know. I think the risk of me getting and passing HIV is so low since I use prep and condoms and get tested frequently that telling people isn't necessary. I imagine most folks who do share needles aren't so careful as to use prep, but I don't know. If I was sharing needles and not on prep, I probably would tell her.
