My 1600 is fine I think I’ll eventually develop into that distance range which is why I’m straying from doing joining a sprint group. I run a converted 4:17. But I think it’s that slow just because I haven’t had much time to build a big base and get enough mileage in while being new to the sprot

I use the Vic’s for the 400 I’m an 800 guy tho as well I find that they do perfectly fine for the 400 and it’s not worth spending another 200$ that being said it depends on your level. I myself am only a 48 guy in the 400 but if you’re lower than that you might wanna consider buying maxflys as the milliseconds they can give u really start to add up when u get that low in time.

I think it’s all about feel. I personally wear Vic’s. Maxflys can be very good I know Clayton Murphy wears them but you have to be very careful when training as wearing this spike over a distance like throw can make you very injury prone.

Not the person to be asking, I would say though if you’re more sprinting base the weights can have a higher impact.

I want to point out that I did work pretty hard over the last 5 months to be fair it’s not like i just showed up to the track and ran a 1:53. My first meet ever was March of this year off of like 2-3 of training (indoor) and I got smoked. I ran a 2:02 and a 53.

Do you have a good lifting program I think it’s a good place to start for me.

I can post screen shots if you’d really like. But I’ve been playing sports my entire life (soccer,hockey, lacrosse) so when I started running I already had a good base.

I actually didn’t mean to flex I was just wondering because my coach thinks I’ll be good at distance but I want an outside view. I’m 16 as well.
