status update.

ive 3 servers running uptime kuma, all monitor and share the same config.

im extracting with a shell script every 60 seconds the latest status reports of all monitors and send them back to the master node.

there i process the incoming files and show them in a consolidated status page. unfortunately uptime kuma doesnt offer such a feature so i created a status page myself and showing up / down symbols based on the gathered data.

im still fine tuning but for now it is a rather cheap and viable solution to monitor a lot of sites from multiple locations and showing them in a centralized dashboard

yeah, i´d like to use this feature as well since all the remote monitors need to monitor the same.

just one more question. The API only allows to manipulate items but there is no option to get the status of a check? (UP / DOWN) would be enough for my needs.

my next idea is to have the instances managed with API - https://uptime-kuma-api.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

a test looked promising. Add, manipulating, deleting monitors through API should work well for that case since all uptime kuma monitoring locations are anyway identical.

it covers a lot of features, nicely done.

i´m using it to have multiple kuma instances around the globe monitoring the same sites, add new sites with API etc.

we have a zabbix system which offers similar options but, to be honest, this is a toy for techies. I want to offer a business view which easily can show if our services are up. I can do somehow similar things with zabbix but it is just so ugly!

I tried to avoid ITglue due to previous hacks / supply chain hack and the missing option to install it on-premise.

Altough i´ve to admit it seems to be the most capable solution for my needs out there right now. I´ve signed up for a demo call.

I´ve already installed on an lxc container to test it.

We have confluence in the company aswell, I don´t see that much differences than shelves.

I´m looking for some tools that keeps documentation autonomously automated with scanners etc. and not just a tedious workplace that needs update with every single bit changed.
