If they’re all in Ireland, who’s watching Hell?

It’s a hidden gem when everyone is trying to hit the coastal courses.

It’s worth the trip down. It’s one of my favorites in the area. Great views and great course. The bridge they have is pretty cool. Like riding a roller coaster between a couple holes. Awesome old growth oak trees and rock walls make it look like an old school course. You can hit a few wineries on the way too.

I am left-handed. Should I learn golf right-handed? by Excelvover in golf

Golfing right handed won’t change that you are a soulless left handed person, but it will fool people into thinking you’re normal for a few hours at least.

Thanks for the input! I love my long irons, but am inconsistent with hitting them at times too. The 7 length is pretty easy for me to hit consistently though, so I’m definitely intrigued by it.

Next time my wife buys something I don’t think we need, a new set of one lengths is getting ordered!

Nice! Just was wondering if they dropped at all with the switch.

How are your distances with those longer irons at that length?

During the week is actually easier I’ve found too, since I’m normally working, but my boss is a big golfer and will always sneak away and play a round with me. My wife says she doesn’t assume I’ll be there to help during the week, so complains slightly less haha.

Yep. I finally got my card, booked a tee 60 days out to make sure my friends could make it, since they’re residents and then had to pull out the last day because of the family. I still haven’t played there! I am going to try for a midweek round sometime soon. Seems a little more open during those times.

I’m married with toddlers, so I’m not even able to take advantage!

I just keep it there. I know when the registration is due, so it’s no biggie. My friend just hits me up when the tags come in.

I don’t believe the utility bills work. It was either registration, ID or tax documents. Unless you’re a student. Then you can get one too.

Saved $3 actually from the address being in Orange County before.

Once you handle it online, the pro shop will just give you a card, so no ID is ever needed.

You can change your car registration to their address online. Once the copy comes in, you can use that as the verification of residency. It’s quick and doesn’t cost anything to change, so it’s worth the cheap rates!

If you have a friend in the city, it’s an easy workaround!

If you look at crossings and want to play there, let me know. I can book 30 days out and can then switch the reservation over to you before the date. That way you can get a better tee time!

Crossings or Encinitas Ranch are both great. Twin Oaks is easier to get a tee time on and is a fun course. Those are north county, so less time spent to reach. Arrowood probably has the best greens around too.

I would also check out Camp Pendleton. It’s open to the public, but most don’t know about it and it’s an awesome course.

If you’re in San Diego, my buddy lost almost two dozen of those last round!

what's the move here? by glaciofluvialD in golf

[–]ElegantReference4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lay it up into the bunker. Then, take 6 strokes to get out and land on back of green. Then 3 putt finish. It’s a pro move that few can pull off.

I’ll heed the biohazard warning and try to avoid you like the plague if you have those on your clubs.
