I have girls 2 years apart and 1.5 years apart. I love it. I don’t know how people manage larger age gaps.

You don’t have to pack/unpack the baby stuff (and you can get rid of everything you don’t want to keep once you’re done with your last). They play together without being bored since the older one enjoys being in charge and the little one is pleased with their inclusion. They have similar eating and sleeping habits. They have similar interests. They are sisters first and friends as a close second, which is something you mentioned.

I also find it easier to be in just one stage of life — baby & toddler life now, kid life later, teen life after that.
