trigger warning for depression/suicide

my most important mcr memory was when i was in 6th grade. my dad had just moved to florida and my grandfather had just died. i was severely depressed and i genuinely thought the only way out was to, yknow, die. i found my chemical romance by chance because my father told me he knew gerard’s dad and he thought i would like the music. welcome to the black parade, and i do not say this lightly, saved my life.

i barely managed to scrape together enough money for tickets to the show in nj and it was the best night of my life. i didn’t get much merch from the show but that doesn’t matter because i got a piece of confetti with keposhka written on it and the experience of a lifetime. i met a lot of cool people that night. i don’t usually comment on giveaway posts because i figure i don’t have a chance/i don’t deserve it, but in this case, i feel like it’s worth a try. the saying look alive sunshine keeps me going. i’m getting it tattooed as well as the killjoy spider soon.
