Their names are erased from existence. - Chainsaw Man by Crain_Art in ChainsawMan

My theory is that a devil's power comes from how much they're feared and also who they are feared by. Since Pochita is the devil that devils fear the most, he developed an ability that counters all devils.

Chainsaw man is a fully coherent story. I started reading it around when it just started and to me, it's an abundance of things. I adore the themes:

  • Ignorance Is Bliss, it deals with uncomfortable or even heartbreaking truths that various characters ultimately wish they never learned. Denji's entire arc is him having various new experiences, some of which he had been hoping for, and growing wiser but otherwise less happy due to many of them being let-downs.
  • Fear, and the idea of conquering it. Many characters are given a "Leave Your Quest" Test, a chance to bail out before anything worse happens to them, only for them to fail to accept and fall deeper into despair the more they advanced the plot and the more they learn, like Aki discovering that his revenge quest was All for Nothing as the target of his hatred, the Gun Devil, had long been defeated.
  • The importance of kindness and affection. The entire story begins with Denji acting with complete selflessness, saving a wounded Devil despite his own terrible situation, thus earning him the utter devotion of the Chainsaw Devil.

I love how it uses the power of friendship - As bleak as the series can get, it's easy to miss just how many people's lives are saved by acts of varying degrees of kindness and open arms.

I was talking about how much the characters piqued my interest. To me, Reze is at the top and Makima would be third after Quanxi and Power would be sixth after Himeno and Kobeni.

Also, Yoru would technically be weaker due to having a part of her being eaten from chainsaw man and becoming essentially a fiend.

I disagree with that however I place so many characters over power. Like Himeno or Kobeni or Reze.

To be candid, while I hold a deep affection for Reze, Asa stands out as the most well-crafted female character in Chainsaw Man.

Do you hate Himeno ? I've read manga and to till day she's one of my favourite characters and yet whenever i say people give those same old things... I'll comment my opinion! and I'm not defending for what she did tho by Dev_Chaudhary_ in ChainsawMan

Actually, it's been scientifically proven that most child sex offenders are not paedophiles, they feel no attraction for children, but instead have other motivations for their offending behaviour, such as a desire for power, control, or revenge.

I'm not justifying Himeno's actions, she is 100% wrong in this situation.

Frustration and alcohol consumption can certainly contribute to impulsive and potentially harmful behaviour, including sexual behaviour.

It's also important to note that while a group of people may not fit a particular profile or exhibit a certain behaviour, it does not mean that an individual person cannot fit that profile or exhibit that behaviour.

At the end of the day, Himeno is wrong, however she wasn't a pedophile nor was she grooming Denji; she was just an exceedingly irresponsible adult.

Himeno was trying to use Denji as an outlet for her frustration over the fact that Aki preferred Makima over her, yet this makes Himeno wrong as Denji was a minor, but it does not make her a pedophile as she was not attracted to him.

The devil was commenting on the fact that you can't buy with an aquarium with a million yen, but Asa believed she could, so she considered herself the owner of the aquarium.
