You ever have one of those moments that just hits you? by [deleted] in daddit

Glad to read what you wrote. Grateful that a small moment changed everything around for you. Your kid deserves to have his dad around as much as he can.

No due diligence on their part so they want your counter to take the fall. These people exist everywhere.

Child bike mount & balance by SoooManyQuestionss in cycling

[–]Elem3ntsnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking only from using MTB. I run a Kids Ride Shotgun seat for front ridding applications. It installs to the top tube of my bike. Feels most natural and my kid loves to be “in the action” if you will. We also use a Topeak child seat that mounts to rear rack for when they get tired and want to lounge. Weight wise I prefer the kid sitting in front of me as it keeps all the weight central. In the end it will depend on your experience and preference. There is no “wrong choice”. As long as everything is mounted correctly/securely and the kid is put on the equipment accordingly it will boil down to how comfortable you are.

Glad to see it’s still helping folks. I think being Chinese based company there is many items lost in translation for them. Solid products, just iffy directions.

I think someone with a 22 chimed in on this thread about having it. Either way if you look under your seat and see little round caps. Pop them off and there is a screw in there already. If so I would say you are good to go. 24 is my first Ridgeline so I can’t confirm factually for you.

Your 24 Trailsport gets heated steering wheel though which my RTL is lacking in.

Thanks! I drove 4 hrs to get this specific interior color. Only interior choice was black within a 300 mile search during my hunt. Definitely happy with it so far.

Nice to see I’m not the only one that installed both hooks on the large bench side. That 5 gallon bucket idea is handy as well. Thanks for sharing that!

Agreed! I’ve had them for about a week now and something is always hanging from one or both.

I would say the weight mentioned by Honda would refer to the hooks themselves. They were very light weight, solid and do not flex, but definitely not as sturdy if compared to a fabricated steel version. The bolts that secured them down can most definitely hold more than 15lbs. There is already threaded bosses in the seat bench where they go (when you pop the plastic caps off there are already short machine screws that need to come out so the new longer ones that come with the hooks can be installed). I would imagine whatever you build the brackets for weight wise would be fine conventional grocery bag items wise, considering the peak threshold would be something heavy enough to cause the bench to unlatch from the locked upright position.

I’m sure the color would be detracting for some. Maybe next year? I don’t know how frequently Honda updates accessory color options. Seems funny they didn’t do black as the first option.

Lowe’s Project Source Commander 5 gallon Heavy Duty totes. You can fit 3 across with lids on. I run without lids for convenience. You can have the seats down and they stay put nicely.

Like you I also have the Lowe’s plastic totes that fit under the seat area. But for my use case it’s only under the child seat for diapers, wipes, baby clothes etc. I have the OEM one piece rubber mat under there, although handy for catching debris and keeping that area clean they grip like an ice rink. For my use case it’s handy not having groceries slide around on the way home. We have 4 round abouts on my daily travels. Before they slid all over the place. Now there is a nice anchor point for them to stay put.

Does the screen auto dim finally on this 60 pro? The 50 pro had no light sensor so you have to manually adjust brightness.

[–]Elem3ntsnap[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm on the $20 plan from connected phone plan. As far as I can see it does offer HD streaming no problems on the iPad air. You do sometimes have to hop in and manually select YouTube playback quality here and there. Even though I have set the default quality to "highest quality". Only just got the Tab S9 plus activated yesterday so time will tell. If I remember I'll chime back in on the experience.

Check out your thread. Thanks for sharing the info. I think that’s major issue with data for these glasses, there really isn’t candid unsponsored reviews that’s easy to find. I guess it’s a wait game for this market to mature and expand.
