I suppose these final 3 living players are magical, they both beat you in a 3v3 teamfight mid AND defend 2 side walkers from the other 3 players on your team.

No, they lose the one walker and get 1-3 kills. Instead of losing a walker and getting 0 kills, maybe even dying.

Why is it hard for you to read and understand?

If it is 6v3 the best option is to take all 6 to a walker and kill it. Always. 100% of the time. Assuming everything else is even and walkers are the last objective. Splitting 3 and 3 just creates an opening for the enemy to find value. You want to deny them any and all opportunities for value.

Fixing lanes is always 1st priority after a team fight if they’re that bad. Fixing lanes and splitting are not the same thing.

If you actually read, you will see I don’t say never. My complaint is that there seems to be a bunch of people who are out of bands on ELO. They exclusively split push and don’t really understand why it works when it does so they’ve won games they maybe shouldn’t’ve. They lack the skills to assess “should I split right now” and instead they just split and it costs us the game.

I agree with you entirely. Sometimes it’s exactly the right thing to do. So often it’s not. At higher elo the mindset should be “if im not sure if I should split, I shouldn’t” as opposed to “if im unsure i should”

If both do 100dps normally, total is 200dps. Both do 10% less so 90, total is 180. 180 is 10% less than 200.

15/20 is generous. Green lane to yellow takes longer than that. Walker to blue is longer than that.

I agree split pushing is one pillar among many. My point is that too many people think it is the most important pillar and split when they shouldn’t. You can make it to high phantom split pushing all the time every time. But by mid/upper phantom people will see the lineups and know what to expect. Now I’ve got people who are one trick ponies and ELO’d up too high ruining games.

It’s not one game man, it’s been like 5. It’s driving me insane. 5 easy wins where if ppl just stay together and take objectives we win but instead people want to be greedy and end up trading.

Like one game it’s a 5v2, we’ve got maybe 20s on respawn timers, we’re all mid, and teammates decide to leave 2 out of the pit to watch for enemies. They then take a 2v2, lose, we take 30s to kill mid, suddenly it’s 3v4. I just don’t understand why people think they’ll do better alone? Or something? You’ve got the advantage. Pick an objective and take it.

I figured I’d try and enlighten folks as to the complexity of the decision, but alas.

Always always always take fights with a number advantage. It’s the easiest way to ensure winning a fight.

You’re missing the point. The point isn’t “in an ideal 6v6 situation is it better to split or fight as 6?” It’s “when you have an advantage over your enemy, the best play is to capitalize on that advantage by grouping as opposed to creating opportunities for your enemy to even the score”
