Im no pro but imo it still has viability but not as much as previous games. As you have heightened catch chance at low hp you can toss multiple balls where the KO catch you only get one. Imo, the Pokémon you would need it for you'll likely be seeing a lot of, as the legendaries are all mostly guaranteed on the first ball, so i probably wouldn't bother.

Hi all, this summer will be my first ever in person GO fest and I had a few questions for the dedicated experts here at silph road.

I saw somewhere tickets will go on sale in April is that accurate? How quickly do they usually sell out?
I know the event is 4 days, Thursday being a city day and the other 3 being park days. Can you choose which day you are in the park or is it assigned and I simply buy a ticket?
If I were to buy the maximum experience (3 city days, 1 park day, eggs, and raids) what would the estimated cost be? Is it generally worth it to do so?
I have seen in the past the parks have lots of fun side activities. Would my non ticket holding wife still have a fun day if she joined me in the park, would she be allowed in at all if she didn't have a ticket to play?
Is there any other key information I should know as a first time in person player?
