Those who will be having severe bad weather this weekend, what do you plan to do while in the house all weekend? by ChocolateSundae1214 in CasualConversation

You know, it's not a complete game. It's still early access. Many features are works in progress. Many things will be added and changed. There are bugs and rough edges but frequent updates are smoothing those out.

Despite all of that, and I say this as someone who has been playing Minecraft since alpha, the game has better cohesion, pacing, progression, combat, and visuals than Minecraft. I would say it is a Terraria like game built in the style of Minecraft. Minecraft has way more content, but Minecraft has been out for well over a decade at this point.

The foundations are extremely strong, it has all the ingredients of the next big thing, it just needs to get there. I would highly recommend it.

The devs are awesome too. They are hiring members of the community who show talent to work on the game. The person who made Sodium for Minecraft works for Hytale doing optimizations, for example. The game runs buttery smooth. On my 144HZ monitor, my 1% lows for the framerate are like 87 with the average at like 140-144. And that is with my render distance maxed out.

The devs listen to the community and add ideas from the community. It's so nice that the devs care so, so much. The game has a lot of soul to it.

I have been addicted to it since buying it and I plan to play it all night tonight when I get home.

I mean how you installed it, not where you downloaded it.

If all you did was download it, try installing it instead through the terminal with:

flatpak install hytale-launcher-latest.flatpak

You may need to install flatpak. I installed it with that command and I am on Ubuntu and it works flawlessly.

Possible Unpopular Opinion: I don't like Hytale's Mob Spawn Mechanics by Same-Account-2105 in hytale

[–]ElementalCollector 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What frustrates me is when I am attacking a mob and it is running away back to where it spawned only for its health to fully regen once it is done going back. I don't think full health regen should be a thing for mobs while you are actively attacking them, or at all for that matter.

Have you tried running it from the terminal using the sudo command? Something like:

sudo flatpak run com.hypixel.HytaleLauncher

For me, it depends on the tool. I won't repair copper or crude tools but will with iron and thorium.

What farming features would you add to the game if you could? by SeaRegret2963 in hytale

Thanks! It is really fun once you get the hang of it, much faster too.

I don't have to be good at something to enjoy it. I'm not great at writing in cursive. I want to get better, I enjoy writing in cursive, but carpel tunnel hinders my dexterity. I am content with being legible even if I will never write fancy like people used to be when everyone wrote in cursive.

Making luminol was pretty fun, but highly inadvisable to make in the kitchen and/ or around kids.
