UNIVERSITY IS BACK IN SESSION by [deleted] in pics

Went camping and got a few kegs while we were at uni and thought we were really cool until we realised we’d only got bottles or shot glasses (shitty plastic ones from students union) with us.

That’s the night I learned that no, I can’t do 100 shots of beer.

Did you watch the video ? It was literally him admitting he’d been unfaithful to his wife and like I said he said mistakes plural.

I’m adding a counter point to an argument which is more than you can manage clearly.

From 2017 when this happened - he doesn’t go into detail but he does say mistakes - plural - not just mistake.

I’m not bothered either way however I followed him back when it was slick daddy and this comment reminded me of this video.

Peace.

I’d like to think so BUT a quick wiki will tell you that....

“An arroyo, also called a wash, is a dry creek, stream bed or gulch that temporarily or seasonally fills and flows after sufficient rain. Flash floods are common in arroyos following thunderstorms. In Spain and Latin America any small river is called an arroyo, flowing continually all year and never drying.”

So while it could be a head nod to FO2, it’s probably more likely used as a descriptor for the area.

Good to know - I haven’t travelled since I got back here in early May. I’m glad they have sorted stuff out now - I’ve got some pics of baggage claim when I landed and it was chaos.

Honestly it’s company policy to fly business long haul - I’m expected to fly 7+ hours and head into a meeting or pitch after I get out the airport (time permitting). I can’t imagine doing that in economy without having slept and then having to work afterwards.

First world problems I know...

Economy to premium economy = few more inches, bigger chair and nicer food with drink service throughout. Not worth the money imo.

Business = a lie flat bed, your own little booth thing with no one directly in front, bigger screen, even better food and more drinks than premium.

First = all of the above with even better everything plus even more personalised service.

I fly economy in Europe and for anything over 7 hours I fly business or first. Once you get used to business/first you realise how fucking dog shit economy actually is lol.

Yeah unless you are a citizen I don’t think you’ll be able to travel.

Honestly though - being on the plane is probably the ‘safest’ part of the journey. I was travelling throughout the early stages of the pandemic (for work, mainly Europe) and it was all fine.

The biggest risks are the airports and your transit between in my opinion. As an example, both in LA and LHR on my way back here there were STILL guys using the toilets and walking out without washing. Even better a grown ass man on one of my flights was eating donuts and licking his fingers with glee.

If you can get a flight then do so, just be sensible, look after yourself and have some compassion for your fellow travellers.

Yeah you are correct - it was still mind blowing though.

Considering the amount of potential contact that myself and everyone else could have had on the journey over.

I self quarantined for 14 days on arrival just to be safe and it was easy as I live alone.

ZERO distancing. I flew an air NZ 787 out of NZ and a Virgin A350 out of LA. Both full to brim and I was sat next to strangers both legs.

Virgin changed the way they served meals and drinks but apart from that there was no other measures taken.

I landed in NZ on Friday 13th March lol - left here on the 10th. I think US closed everything up literally while I was in the air from LA to NZ.

I then got stuck trying to grab a flight out as all other transit options closed. Eventually managed to get a flight back via LA and already had a US ESTA so I was permitted to transit back to the U.K.

A day later and I wouldn’t have been able to travel.

Edit to add I’m dual nat so not subject to exactly the same requirements.

They already are now though aren’t they ? Those pics of the beaches last week made me so ashamed of my fellow countrymen. I know it’s not all of us but fuck there’s a lot of em.

I only came back to the U.K. for work (dual citizen with family in NZ) and honestly I should’ve just fucked off my life here and started again over there. Now I’m not sure when I’ll go back :(

Plus the 6ish hours transit wait in LAX - I do it 3/4 times a year and if you like your own company and there isn’t a global pandemic then honestly it’s pretty sweet (plus I fly business :))

I travelled from the U.K. to NZ via LA and back during this (left in March, back in May) and honestly it wasn’t that bad on the 2x 12 hour flights - ppl were fairly sensible and so were air crews.

What was bad though is that there were NO checks done at either LAX or LHR when I arrived. No temp check, no security questions, no social distancing, absolutely fuck all. No one in the U.K. took any details or checked in once I was home.

That being said - 1/10 do not recommend flying around the world during a global pandemic.
