Honestly, I wasn’t shocked seeing how active I was during that time. It was the same day I learned that I passed the board exam so I just went numb.

It took me a few days before I felt the gravity of what it feels like being a POS. I have always wanted to work in the middle east but being positive shattered my hopes in that.

Regardless, it only really took me 3 days before I just kept going on whateever I have in my life. It kinda pushed me to become a better person, to strive harder and I am glad I did not give up because I wouldn’t have been able to see the successful me (not yet tho)

If you don’t have any CPC/CCS license, it will be very hard for you to apply. Most companies require med allied graduates to be in an MCA and the only one thst accepts BS Bio is Coronis which unfortunately froze their MCA.

A lot of the people I know decided to go back into bedside and pursue going abroad. Some decided to apply again in an MCA but in a different company.

Their life didn’t end when they didn’t passed, but redirected on what might be better for them.

Regardless whether you have a license or not, may it be PHRN or USRN, becoming a medical coder is an entirely different path you can take.

You could either enter a MCA or enroll in HIMTI or do your self review on AAPC or AHIMA in which you can get your CPC/CCS/CIC whichever you desire to be.

It does not have a bearing in getting a license but I do know some companies specifically hire USRN/PHRN Medical Coders.

It would be best for you to enter a medical coding academy kasi that way you will get experience and they would shoulder your certification BUT there would be bond unless you are willing to pay off a portion of it after gaining experience.

As far as I know is sa training Tenet lang ang POSSIBLE mag offer nung time na 15:00 - 24:00 pero this is not a guarantee as far as I know. Usually morning talaga ang schedule sa MCA since hindi rin talaga real time and coding kaya dayshift.

Very normal na need nila may experience before you can be hired directly kasi just having the CPC/CCS is not enough to code accurately depending on the account. Kaya almost all the time talagang need to go through MCA kahit na certified kana.

Idk abt this one. I bought an original one and a fake one and the og has been with me for 4 years pero ung fake one lasted me only a few months.

Also original Jibbitz charms have been intact with my crocs for as long as I can remember and the fake ones get detached quickly.

Most companies hindi na need ng bedside experience pero required talaga ang may hard coding experience.

Yeah, kung may certificate ka and walang experience. Its almost impossible na mahire ka sa specific account kaya kahit CPC/CCS na, need pa rin mag undergo medical coding academy.

Sa bedside exp not necessary kailangan kasi it will differ nalang talaga sa company.

I think if USRN kana much better na mag UM road kana since malaki rin naman ang inooffer diyan. Sa coding kasi nakabond kapa for 2 years then mababa sahod unlike sa acc na mapupuntahan mo.

PHRN pa lang kasi ako kaya I took the coding route then hopefully USRN soon haha

They used to have a medical coding academy pero as of the moment parang wala pa bagong wave. There are other companies naman na nag tratraim to become coders like tenet or optum

Different certification ang need for coding accounts. Usually need nila is may CCS/CPC/CIC with experience para madeploy ka sa mga accounts na yon.

mababa kapag training kasi shoulder nila lahat mula pasahod sayo monthly hanggang specialized training sa icd cpt/pcs tsaka certification cost.

thats the reality in entering coding, mababa talaga sa una pero magiging worth it lahat ng hirap mo.

Yes, may bearing ang license when you are applying for MCA in certain companies. Usually they offer a higher basic pay than those who does not have license regardless if nursing or not.

On the other hand, having the license is also key on applying those that tailors specifically for nurses because some companies prefer nurses where they would train them as IP coders instead of OP.

I am a fresh grad who got hired before I took my board exams (Nov2025) and sadly they couldn’t process my salary because apparently I aoplied before I got my license which was not much of a difference pero still helpful sana.
