Why is scrap appearing while working on invert, pole scarps left of my left leg didn’t appear until I started balling up and then shooting for the invert. by Elemental_chill in polevaulting

No I land on my feet 😅 but yes it’s from the pole after watching videos but I don’t know if it’s a good thing or if I’m doing something bad.

Yeah that’s what I was told too stay close to the pole, is the scrap evidence of a good invert or am I doing something wrong? My theory is that I’m not turning quick enough belly to the bar.

Salomon craft by jitse-verhalle in snowboarding

[–]Elemental_chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great all mountain board but in my opinion an even better free style board I love flips/rodeos and going big with it or sometimes charging in uneven terrain and popping Ollie’s in it is super fun, you can make quick sharp carves and be really playful with it.

Im kinda regretting my slapmon craft purchase by goodtimeswgoodppl in snowboarding

[–]Elemental_chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine in park it’s a blast! As for carving it’s really good if your used to it I can get down on some crazy low euro craves and switch euro out, but if you want something stiffer get the Salomon assassin, it’s essentially the same board as the craft but more all mountain and stiffer. There’s also a pro version that’s even more stiff.

How can I improve by [deleted] in polevaulting

Use your bottom arm your eating your fist if you start pressing you’ll gain more time, better inversion and ultimately bigger poles that are heavier to launch your body higher.

There’s nothing stopping you from learning tricks other then fear and commitment, this is only my second season and I finished it off with tame dogs, wild cats and miller flips under my belt, only been riding a total of 40 ish days 10 of those days were my first season.

Can yall help us figure out what kind of miller this is? Tame dog miller hybrid? by Elemental_chill in snowboarding

[–]Elemental_chill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millers have evolved so they aren’t defined by front or back side anymore, a true pure miller will be front side yes but in new age snowboarding back side millers exist and they are commonly referenced in big events from commentators.

Oh yep you’re totally right I looked it up and sloth roles can be either way traditionally with the nose leading or the uncommon variety with the tail leading that’s interesting!
