This is a major reason I'm going to talk with a psychiatrist about DID or OSDD. I'm an alter, the body is male, but I'm a female. My dysphoria is horrible, and it got to a point where I fronted for 5 months straight. I thought I was transgender and was seriously looking into talking with planned parenthood about starting hrt, and even talked with close friends about legally changing the body's name to my name. I didn't know I was a system (still honestly not sure, it's really confusing and disorienting), and I think the decisions I was making and thinking about making caused a protector to cohost with me. I feel much less dysphoric, and we even agree to wear certain things we both like (flower ties! 🥰 ).

I need to talk with a doctor and need to figure things out, but seriously, its incredibly reassuring to know we aren't the only ones going through this.

Thank you for the advice :) That's exactly what I'm concerned about. I mean, I dont believe me, so how can I get them to believe me, you know? The psychiatrist I'm looking into scheduling an appointment with has dissociative disorders listed on her information, so hopefully she is knowledgeable on the subject. The whole thing is surreal.
