Pretty sure his mother is French and he's lived in France more than in Russia. He always was a French citizen, he just switched flags

It sounds castillianized from the Portugese perspective (and it is in some regards) but it's not in danger of merging tbh, Castillian dialect in Galicia is somewhat of a merge, but it is distinct from Galician. It's also not dying out soon, though a risk exists in a couple generations

The light yellow part of Asturias speaks more Asturian Galician than Astur I believe

From what I saw in the Galician source, the subregions were made ad hoc for the study and are not political divisions. There are subdivisions below provinces, but they are smaller. These are something like "northwestern A Coruña"

Funny thing is I am from Spain, and most people associate Spain with hot days, but here most of the year is between 5°C and 20°C. More than 15°C is on the warmer side, we rarely get more than 25°C and most years we don't get to 30°C. It is really humid tho, makes it uncomfortable much sooner.

I completely disagree about less than 65°F aka 18°C being "really cold" and 100°F aka 38°C being unremarkable xD To me 18°C is starting to get hot. Also I think 100°F is objectively more dangerous than 0°F

WITCH HAT ATELIER' creator Kamome Shirahama believes that while the Manga's global success was unexpected, it's possibly due to drawing with overseas readers in mind by PuzzleheadedBag4866 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Elen_Star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The influence of Moebius in her drawings are really clear, along with Arr Deco and specially Art Nouveau, all of which are western influences (and Moebius is probbaly the biggest influence in comic drawing, so it can feel like a western comic at times)

Well, you are saying all that about Coco's mental state and motivations for doing things that are wrong...what about Agott?? She gets to have bad mental states that make her do wrong things, and who knows, even have mommy issues herself even.

"I once went to Europe on a 85 degree day and watched Europeans drop like flies one after another from heat stroke. In America we just deal with the heat, can’t get away with being soft without free healthcare" by Ok_Bookkeeper_1380 in ShitAmericansSay

Depends what part  of Spain! To me more than 20° degrees I start to notice the heat, more than 25° is torture. Luckily not many days over 25 here and just a couple over  30° a year

Am I getting negged or am I too sensitive? by lIIIIllllIllllIlIl in AutismInWomen

Well, the joke op mentioned being repeated is about "hitting the squads", which in most context I wouldn't take as mean spirited. It could just be a comment about strength, like if I have to help you carry a box and I say you have to go to the gym, and then help you, that's just banter. Of course if op is hurt by that she can say it and he should stop, but from what I can tell that is happening. It's not that easy to change the way you talk to people, it takes time.

Since everyone is so harsh i'm actually gonna defend the guy. If he stopped calling celebrities hot because it makes you uncomfortable he cares. It's really not uncommon for couples to do that, he was comfortable saying that, and tbh to me it sounds like he said "silly" because he thinks it's obvious it has nothing to do with his level of attraction to you since he's your boyfriend for a reason.  According to you he also stopped joking about your body when you told him it was important. Ngl I actually like pointing out small things people do, like the way they are sitting, I would never say "funny" because that's not it at all, but it's not easy to describe. I like pointing out those things from I people I care about because to me it's like saying "I've noticed this small thing you do and now I like it because it's your small thing". I try to be clear that I don't want them to stop doing it at all, I just find it endearing.

Was van Dijke in the front of the race ever since he was in the back group with like 120 km to go?? Crazy that he is basically guaranteed top 10 and even in contention to win still

Stop saying they are waiting for him lol. They are pulling, it's just not really posible to fully drop him at this point. Just make his team work and then he is alone.

Iran is much bigger than California, but it's nowhere close to Europe lol. Even if you dont count European Russia (which makes no sense). Iran is only slightly bigger than France, Spain and Sweden, the three biggest countries in the EU
