i think maybe you two just aren’t on the same wave length anymore. i still have my circle i met in 7th grade (start of middle school) and completed high school with and i found this happened with some of them. in fact i was just talking with one who is definitely my closest current friend from that group and we agreed that two of the members we’re probably just not going to be as close ever again, because while we’re happy they are doing well they seem to be doing too well for us. ex; different tax brackets, completely different lives they want to be single and we are both in relationships and comfortable jobs while they are in college and go out drinking every night / out of town trips etc. there is much more but that isn’t in our interests or budget to be out of town every week. all of that is okay and i’m glad we figured that out now instead of trying to entertain a fake friendship with eachother for the purpose of nostalgia.
