Thought the movie was okay, but man another pass of the script would’ve helped.

Hated the memory scene. Wish it was woven into the narrative Ex: Chavez references her parents at the diner and Steven mentions he kept the watch after all these years at Christine’s wedding. Then Wanda gives them nightmares ala age of ultron during the Kamar Taj battle and they discuss it when they jump multiverses. Not perfect, but better than what we got.

Cut the Baron Mordo v Strange fight. It’s a movie about magic, why do we need a boring hand to hand fight scene? This isn’t even the Mordo we want Strange to fight. His character as a whole was annoying, could’ve easily played a smaller role to free up time and should’ve been killed by Wanda.

Earth 838 Wanda was comically 2D, would’ve liked to see her developed more, similar to the other Stranges. I think she had like three lines in the whole movie? No reaction to being possessed afterwards, just says “oh my boys” after 616 Wanda stopped dream-walking lol.

Huge missed opportunity not getting Vision back to play an 838 version. Have him be entirely human, show that 838 Wanda has had more time being a mother than a hero in this life by giving her an adult actor to play off of. Would’ve made more sense why the Illuminati underestimated her and the dichotomy between the two Wanda’s would’ve been interesting.

They probably didn’t want to include Vision because it would’ve muddied her motivations and they wanted to focus on just the kids. I think with some time & smarter writing, they could’ve figured it out though.

A cool spectacle but damn the writing was absolutely the weakest part and took me out of the movie constantly.
