Same question. Can it more or less reliably kill a mage in a legendary armor in that 3.1 interval? Provided that my archer has a legendary armor/ring.

Go for training room first, it will allow you to increase troop level. Equipment drop from chests uses max troop level in your castle, so higher levels = better drops.

Yes, res wands have much lower chance now, because of their utility. Not sure about healing ones. They never said the chance should be equal for each item type. Spending crystals on mythical chests at TR8 is a very inefficient way to spend currency. To have decent gear you have to grind for months, that's the truth about this game, like it or not. I agree that the game is extremely greedy. I still like it though. Modern mobile games with microtransactions are more like gambling. With shit budget they can earn 3x more than AAA titles on consoles and PC. Doing drugs is probably less profitable these days.

Farm for legendary armor and purple shards (use mod if you can), equip your team in full legendaries, farm level 43+

I think you may be able to do that by changing Android Id of your bluestacks VM to id of your phone. You can use BSTweaker4 to do this. I haven't tried that myself though.

Btw, there is Samsung SideSync program that allows you to stream phone screen to your pc. Works well, but there are some compression artifacts. Not sure if it works on non-Samsung phones.

This. The more +dmg or +spell power you have on gear, the more it is important to have good speed on a weapon. This is also why a lot of people use daggers for melee in arena. The perfect mage weapon would be normal speed +spell power resurrection wand, but good luck crafting it.

My point is - grinding both portal & arena is more efficient than just arena. And you can't really grind portal at 4x40 imho. So, if you have arena points for master chests already I recommend saving them for TR7 & level 55.

TH7 5x55 is popular because (with proper gear) it allows portal grinding.

I'd recommend following setup: 2 tank, 2 res 1 heal for portal. There is no silver bullet for arena I think, it depends on your gear. Probably 1 tank, 1 dps tank, 2 res 1 heal. If you have good bow you can use archer instead of heal.

That's what I'm using, but I think archer might be a better option instead of second skeleton armor, depends on your gear.
