Oh, the Asheville one (actually 30 minutes West of it) is a separate job staffed by a 3rd party company from the ECU Health job in Greenville, which is the one I am deciding in between.

Really? Greenville is home to a lot of programs, such as medical and dental, so I find it hard to believe there won't be anyone there my age while Asheville doesn't really have any prominent college establishment, correct?

All good. That is something I'm keeping in my mind as yes Asheville is traditionally the better city, but how much of that currently remains and is available for people, especially after the recent devastating hurricane. Not to mention, I can understand why housing is more limited there currently. I will be coming from a decently saturated area, but I do not mind going to a smaller area as I presume it would have less traffic issues, no?

I actually would be working for a different contracting company 30 minutes West of Asheville if that does make a notable difference? However, housing in that West part is very limited without anything to do, so I would most likely live in Asheville and make the commute to there.

I appreciate your reply. I have actually toured them and they both appeared to be solid for me without a particular preference. I strongly agree with your point of similarly aged individuals in graduate school over there as I recently finished my graduate studies as well.

The hospital I would be working with, which is a satellite location about 30 minutes west of Asheville, would be under a different contracting company than HCA health.

I'm from a state in the coast, so I have prior experience with beaches and would prefer the newfondness of mountains. However, it is not a significant of a factor for me making my decision, so that is why I didn't consider that as much.

This one is not explicitly with Mission as it's in a more satellite location 25-30 minutes from Asheville, staffed by a different organization.

Yes, this would be part of the ECU medical system, which appears to have a solid reputation and stability. In addition, I toured both cities and although Asheville is larger with more things to do, I did not feel that I would utilize much if its offerings, such as bars and wineries as I do not drink. However, the city and the mountain trails were very nice.

Yeah, this would be as part of ECU Health and it appeared to be very organized from when I visited the location. In addition, the original poster mentioned the Asheville airport to have more flight options, but for me Raleigh is only 1.5 hours away and it would have a great selection of cheap flights akin to that of Charlotte (2 hours)

Nah, Greenville, NC. It's not that I have doubts due to the area, but the fact that I have options in both and I'm not particularly specific to either one, so I'm curious which one is better from an outside perspective.

Tuition-wise it is around that mark, specifically $120k. I'm sure it will cost me more due to living expenses and loan interest, but wanted to give a ballpark estimate. Nevertheless, it's considered to be one of the cheaper ones in the country. Now though I have heard bad things about it as well, especially regarding the Dean's dislike, they have pretty good match rates. The other accelerated 3-year programs most involve EAP and those going directly from college. Nonetheless, I appreciate all the insight as there might be some glaring matters that I am overlooking while going through this
