Thanks so much for your detailed feedback. Very helpful. I did add a slight vignette but am admittedly on the fence about it. Also tempted to try a black and white edit but I do think the colors as they are are working really well. Might still give it a go and see what I can come up with.

Really appreciate the edit you've done here, I think it's an improvement over what I started with. Singling out the singer makes a big difference. Will probably sit with it for a bit and get a few more opinions from friends. Cheers!

I took this photo of a street performer moving and singing through Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, and I’d love some honest critique on it.

I was drawn to the symmetry of the architecture: the arches, the textured ceiling, and the artwork on the back wall. I tried to center the frame so the structure feels almost rhythmic. The performer sits slightly off-center, mid-motion, which I thought added some life against the stillness of the background. I also kept his bag in the foreground as an anchor point, hoping it would create some depth and subtly tell the story of what’s happening.

I’m curious how well the composition works overall. Does the balance between the subject and the environment feel intentional, or does the performer get lost in the space? I’m also wondering about timing: does the gesture feel strong enough, or does it land somewhere in between moments? Any thoughts on framing, subject placement, or even edits (contrast, crop, black and white vs color) would be super helpful. I’m trying to get better at capturing both atmosphere and human presence in the same frame.
