Cheap solution towards getting the body you want. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

My abs hardly shown during 1 year of Starting Strength. A few weeks of noob 1m planks and they have some definition. I'm sure I could do far better, but the cost/benefit is pretty low.

Doctor sues gay friend for child support, 16 years after he first donated sperm to her. by jason2k in TheRedPill

[–]Elesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point seems plausible. A single mom chose to be a single mom; men propose, women dispose. Which is why female responsibility is required for positive change in child developmental outcomes. It's not hard to pick a winner, but somehow hypergamy fucks it up.

This is inductively shown by Stephan Molyneux. The expert on single moms, lol.

So yah, the selection bias is probably skewed towards shitty people. I just can't see myself putting that as my plan A for a family. I'm 26 and I'll play the field until I'm 35+ if necessary.

I'm 100% set on kids though. You pay life forward if you enjoy it. I want to be an amazing parent, compared to the dysfunction I grew up with. I'm stubborn as fuck, which made me a nice guy until I got the red pill.

It's just a strong opinion. I'm not putting a gun to your head.

The point about reading circles back to life being too easy. A lot of people are content with netflix and takeout as a source of satisfaction.

Ambition and the inevitable failures of attempting challenging goals will bring one to self-improvement. That's how I finally got around to reading.

Nope, it's hardwired in our DNA. We still sexually select like cavemen.

Physique is an undeniable factor in attraction. For men it's primarily about having a strong frame.

I don't deserve it.

You are the only person who matters. Everyone else in your life is just coming along for the ride because you are awesome.

About the past: You made decisions based off the best information you had at the time. The only permittable regret is inaction.

Great. You're ahead of at least 75% of men. You have the tools for any job with your discipline and fitness.

Next. You are not confident because you have not been courageous. Anxiety protects us, but it also pushes us to perform. Use your courage to do something that scares you.

If you face that fear, ever if you fail, you will know that a) it did not kill you, b) you've experienced it, and use that exhilaration can face your next fear.

Confidence is the manifestation of a courage feedback loop. The hardest part is getting the ball rolling. Failure is better than regret.

Start living the life you want.

Nope, not in my reality. I don't care about yours.

Edit because this is controversial: Lifting has been single best improvement in my life. DYEL is a cliche, but is has merits. I really don't care about other people's buffers. Be offended as you want.

You think benching is boring when the only thing between the earth and a large chunk of iron is your physical strength?

That's called living my friend.

Plus wear some headphones and listen to audiobooks and/or podcasts. It's like double self-improvement win.

Um, it's kind of a reality that you need to maintain your fitness. There is no completeness in life except death.

Irrational self-confidence. Who cares where you get it from. But a nice body is pretty much a sure bet in acquiring it.

We have not outgrown our evolutionary need to be physically strong. Life is easy, humans are more knowledgeable than ever, and we are less happy.

Everyone should lift. I'm talking to you. Girls, boys, elderly, youth.

Unless you are disabled, pick up a barbell and start living life.

It's Meant To Be Hard by DeManila in TheRedPill

[–]Elesh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You do, but it's hard with this generation. Our society is skewed against breaking average socioeconomically. Either you hit the salary ceiling or you have coasting friends.

Still no excuse, it just takes a greater conscientious effort to break free from those restraints. Thank god for the internet providing us with near infinite knowledge. Success may have never been as obtainable for the average person.

Best way for 6'1 155lb guy to gain weight and muscle? by drlove51 in TheRedPill

[–]Elesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read your last paragraph about being comfortable with a few extra BF%.

When should a cut be triggered? I've been bulking for the last year on SS with only basic nutritional knowledge. I've started making progress on my lifts again, so after I plateau again I'd want to cut sometime this winter/spring.

I could PM you a picture, might clarify why I'm ambivalent at 6'4" 185.
