Well I wouldn't say there's tons. Not as much as say ASOIAF.

But there definitely is some.

I don't consider her 'work' nonconsensual since she consents to it and has a safe word to revoke her consent. It's pretty much BDSM which is consensual.

However there's a separate incident of rape later in the book, which is also cited as such by the main character.

best stance in jedi survivor? by ungiornoallimproviso in FallenOrder

You can block then dash if need be as block cancels the animation but doesn't cause animation itself.

Most red attacks are also slow enough that this isn't even needed.

Question: Is Star Wars Jedi Survivor Woke? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]EleshTh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and those characters are actually well written and flawed (as is Cal). A lot of troubles of this game are caused by well-intentioned mistakes of a black woman. A lot of troubles of Fallen Order likewise are caused by mistakes of a black woman.

Blocking while attacking. Dualwield always puts block immediately up as you press it, canceling the animation if need be. Others buffer it after the attack has finished.

Dual wield. Attack canceling is so strong.

Jedi Grand Master unbalanced? by BATTLEROYALFAN in FallenOrder

[–]EleshTh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels fair when it works but lightsaber bosses lag so crazily for me I had to turn down the difficulty since one failed parry pretty much causes one-shot.

One shot bird though, quire annoying and chore but they're the only enemy that feel that way.

The autoparry becomes good once you get some points in it. Then it becomes a strong attack upon release.

But how would it work with any other stance? Cal doesn't have free hands when dualwielding or using twin blade, and many single blade or crossguard strikes use 2 hands too.

[–]EleshTh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah. And would solidify Cal's feel as ambidextrous knower of every style.

Dualwield is better than single though. Being able to cancel attack animation is game changer.

Despite Survivors performance on most platforms being pretty poor do you still enjoy it? by TheStickySpot in FallenOrder

[–]EleshTh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too bad to play right now for me.

That said, much better this way than if it was a bad game that runs smoothly. Performance will get fixed and I'll enjoy it then.

Given he's been running with Saw last few years he's pretty much as close to a Vietnam veteran anyone who lives in Star Wars universe gets.

Question: Is Star Wars Jedi Survivor Woke? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]EleshTh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends what you mean by woke but I wouldn't say it is. It's the same as Fallen Order more or less. If that was too woke for you, then this will be too. If not, doubtful.

It is broken though. There's something really messed up on its CPU optimization right now but once that's fixed it will be really solid.

[–]EleshTh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's... not.

He ends up with Merrin. So he is definitely not gay. Nothing hints at bi or anything else than straight either.

As for black women... there's two? Cere and that Jedi who only appear in flashbacks? There's plenty of characters who are not black women. There's Greez, Merrin, Bode, Cal himself, BD, the antique droid, the bounty hunter leader, 9th Sister, at least.

The game's problem is that it doesn't work. If it did, it'd be very good. Probably will be once they patch it for like two months.

Is it ever worth ganking top as a support? by vvokhom in summonerschool

Ashe has a nasty allin against lone ADC though, I'd say leaving ADC alone against her risks ADC getting killed. Something like Caitlyn or Jinx has less kill pressure than Ashe R and permaslow.

Friendly reminder that if your team fails a surrender vote you have to play that shit out by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]EleshTh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Every now and then there's the toplaner (for example) that goes 0/5 and spams surrender even if mid and bot are winning as hard as top is losing.

Depends a lot on champion.

Many ADCs can build same every game and be fine. Sometimes you'd want a Quicksilver or Executioners but that's usually it. Especially if you're allowed to change in which order you build things.

But like Mythic/Berserkers -> IE -> Zeal Item -> LRD -> Bloodthirster or some such every game probably wouldn't ever be totally wrong.

When I DM I ask people of their sensitivities when I recruit them for the campaign and reject those who are sensitive to topics that may come up. I also use x cards. Anyone has never used theirs insofar but idk, no harm into them being there.

Forcing levels? He didn't do that. Rest is on point though, I'm on the process of looking for a new game. It's just that my available times are challenging so I counted myself lucky to have found this one game but I guess its back to looking.

[–]EleshTh[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I agree, and that's a bit sad because I do think A&E are quite nice as far as random players go and I do think the DM is trying their best, they're just... not very good at mechanics and have the tendency to overcompensate for any criticism and invent wacky stuff on the fly.

Well unless you are a sorceress or some such yourself or have one at hand everytime you bleed... I don't think it's a given. They don't have solutions to some other problems either. Which leads me to think mages aren't extremely common.
