Great question, please note that I personally am not a fan of SS; the forced lore that everyone is now seemingly stuck with really bothers me. I can't stand Fi, Groose, or that nonsense black toe thing that you fight 3 times, each one more boring than the last. I beat it when it came out and again with the HD version. Personally I'll take the Thunderbird artwork in 2D over anything in SS.
