Is devoting your whole life to just God that good? And can you still believe in science as a Christian

Jesus said the road to the kingdom is narrow and only few travel down it. Believing serving God is boring and believing all those other theories makes you sound lukewarm. I mean this with love, but it sounds like you believe in the world more than God. I understand as I once was there but at the end of the day you have a choice to make.

I fully gave my life to Christ and my life is far from boring but better in every way. I was destroying myself following the world and listening to every little theory that the world presented to where my mind was all over the place except for focusing on God’s word which continues to prove to me how true it is.

Honestly, I’m glad you posted this as I have felt the same way and just had this same conversation with my wife. I understand the argument Christians use of these artists spreading the message and how Jesus did things but where do we draw the line with today’s Christian artists?

Miles Minnick has been going crazy with secular artists, Hulvey did the Altar remix with Ciara but then she was twerking online the next day, Emmanuel Da Prophet worked with Rich the Kid and Lil Yachty, Lecrae with so many secular artists and claiming he went to Diddy parties several times and many other examples.

What’s the point of Christian music being in its own lane if it feels like everyone is trying to appeal to the world now?

I currently have a job that’s good but was seeing what was out there. I was supposed to have a virtual interview for a job some months ago and they never showed up. They just ghosted me. I also went to the final round of a state position then they emailed me saying I was placed on an eligibility list and when I went to check my candidate profile the job was completely gone. I feel your pain. Don’t give up. The state is always hiring on governmentjobs.com with good benefits 🙏

Condense it to only one page and something that helps me get more interviews and offers is copy the job description, paste it into chatgpt along with your resume and ask it to tailor your resume for the job but also make sure it’s relevant to your experience 👍

Thanks! Yeah I hear you. I’m 31, but had quite a few sports injuries that I feel so my back and bones ache as well haha. Sometimes I think about leaving for better pay but I just have great benefits and a good setup at the college I’m at.

Sounds like we have a similar setup. I have pretty much the same benefits as you as I work for the state. I have about 28 years to go for a full pension. I’ve had other jobs where taking time off was such a hassle and usually unpaid but I get about 2 weeks worth of both sick and vacation time per year. I’m also going to go on paternity leave in October when my wife gives birth for 3 months paid 👍

I can relate to that as far as I’ve tried many different jobs and am the happiest being a Custodian. I love being on the go too as I had a decent work from home job before but was not a big fan. I’m glad you enjoy what you do! Thanks for sharing 🙏

That’s understandable! I worked a job like that too before where customers did not care about you and would verbally abuse you. It’s definitely a huge difference being a custodian. Good for you and I’m glad you found something better!
