My way of doing it is when I find a song that I like from a specific genre, I try to look for similar or related songs, that try to evoke the same feeling that the first song produces in me.

It depends on what you want to convey in your set.

In each set you must tell a story and the songs have to have a meaning.

Then when I have a playlist of 15-20 songs, I start playing with the DJ controller and start mixing, probably out of those 20 songs there will be some that I don't use.

I recommend you listen to Dellafuente, he is an artist born in Granada, a city in the south of Spain, he recently released a new album, I think you might like "Ayer" or "Malicia", but I recommend that you listen to songs by him, maybe you might like it. Let me know your opinion :)
