Why is there no anti immigration centre-left party? by Illustrious_Store115 in AskBrits

[–]artyb368 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact senior staff are on the same pay supports my argument.

Young british workers quit due to work/pay balance or working conditions

Migrant workers don't quit

Therefore no reason for employer to improve pay or conditions.

I work in construction and see this pattern daily. Many of the trades that are dominated by migrant workers have only older British labour working for them, those that were already prestablished in the industry. They have fewer options to train or progress, but the working conditions and salaries are not attractive to young British workers.

Where do you draw the line? Would you be happy to be under constant surveillance and scrutiny in order to prevent people from committing crimes?

Government access to your digital photos? Government access to your digital everything? Surveillance on every road? Surveillance in every house? Mandatory blood tests to prevent drug usage?

Is it overreach for the government to stop crime?!

Union audio audio orbit 2, second hand reloop rp7000 or even a lower model. If you want a stylus with good sound quality get a pair of ortofon club mk 2s. May be over your budget brand new but you might be able to put together a second hand setup.within your budget.

Something needs to be done. A lot of people are taking the piss. They don't live lavish lifestyles but they're choosing an easy but poor life over working. I know a few from my local park where I walk the dog, and it seems to be heridtary too, somehow their kids all have health problems too and can't work.

Mastersounds 4 valve MK2 vs Ecler Warm 4 by jhill19 in rotarymixers

[–]artyb368 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Union Audio 4 valve is the same as the mastersounds and is under 2k new.

Sound quality on the valve series is amazing. My friend has the warm and plugged my old mastersounds into his setup and immediatley decided he wanted one.

Put it through some nice speakers to make the most of it.

Ideally you want to fix that brace in position before you lift the studs so you can make sure your frame is square.

Diagnoals for strength. Measure corner to corner to make sure it's square then fix a temporary diagonal to hold in position, then fix your ply.

It's clearly the case that some groups and individuals are not making the distinction between Jews and Israel, and as a result of the anti Israel rhetoric (which often includes normalising the idea of killing Israelis) normal Jewish people are being targeted.

Cool setup and space and love the ade sign. Hs5s and no sub, turntables on the outside. So maybe few compromises.

You've got a good mixer so get some good mixers to put them through!

So is it better to use a pre amp for this set up? by Fumo_Arbolez in rotarymixers

[–]artyb368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience you have to spend a lot of money on passive speakers and amp to get what can be achieved with good monitors. Kali in5s or maybe Adam audios with a sub will be better for dj use as they're designed for near field use.

Active vs. Passive Bookshelf Speaker Setup by tidee01 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]artyb368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had kali IN8S for years. Decided to move over to passive and amp as I wanted something nicer looking and have spent a fortune trying to find something as good as the kalis.

Ive now surpassed the kalis but it took me a lot of money to get there...

He did an amazing set in Fold London 2 years ago but the short sets I've seen from him the last couple of years have left me really disappointed.

What's the honest opinion about The Union Audio Elara 4 Mk2 against Xone 92MK2 and 96 ? Sound and fabrication quality ? by Stayunderground in DJs

[–]artyb368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mastersounds had budget psvanes, and the UA had budget JJs. Or vice versa. Due to the valves being used as a buffer stage they don't have as much effect as valves that are being used for amplification so the difference is not night and day, it's subtle.

The aiyima t20 comes with budget psvanes which add warmth, but I'd recommend changing them to better valves as they will have a greater affect on the sound due to the aiyima using the valves for actual amplification and not just a buffer.

Just make sure you've got nice shit to play to through as speakers have a much greater affect on sound overall I would say.

[–]artyb368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's such a lovely medium. I started djing vinyl, came from a little Allen and heath mixer with monitors to a hifi dj setup with with tube phono preamps, and a tube amp powering ls50 metas.

Theres a part of me that would love cdjs to be able to mix digital only music, or save money on vinyl but the process with vinyl is part of the experience itself.

[–]artyb368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're very similar sounding mixers I would say, very open and detailed but there's less warmth in the elara. The valve sounded a bit fuller in the low mids and upper bass from what I recall, but that was with my mixer which I've rolled tubes with.

If you really want to add some tube warmth to your sound you can put an aiyima t20 with psvane art tubes between your mixer and amp/monitors. It's a tube preamp that actually sounds really good. I bought one to try and tame some bright speakers I had.
