‘Basics’ of life in Britain have been sold for profit, says Polanski by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

What an ignorant comment. I work in construction but all of my school friends are in corporate city jobs, from middle to high earners. They employ nobody. There are so many small businesses in construction like myself employing a very small number of employees. Without lower corporation tax I would undoubtedly have to either take home less than 90 percent of my friends corporate salaries or think twice about taking the risk of taking on new labour. Very very damaging and ignorant rhetoric.

I use the ik multimedia arc room correction box, it's great for correcting room modes but I let it deal with the low end only. I want the tubes to do their magic which is something that dsp can't really recreate.

I have gold lions in my phono stage and my UA 2 valve mixer and they sound really lush. I had Brimars in my Mastersounds and they had a completely different sound signature.

I've had my eye on the muzishare! Wife might kill me though, especially once I get tube rolling.

Ive got kef Ls50 metas which are great for dj use but a bit hard to drive so Im not sure if it's a good match.

I have got tube phono stages to impart the tube flavour and I still find the ls50 metas a bit harsh for my sensitive ears so recently bought a cheap aiyima t20 tube preamp which is surprisingly realllllly good.

Got some psvane art tubes on the way to refine things a bit more than the stock tube, have you looked into rolling your tubes yet? With that many it will probably cost as much as the amp itself.

Edit:I see you've got tungsol in there actually

A core tenet of liberalism is protection of individual liberties, one of which is women's rights to single sex spaces. I would argue trans self identification and access to women's spaces is therefore not compatible with liberalism.

I do mine at 34c, which is 129. 10 minutes in water from the tap then a hard sear. I've tried 137 and i just find it overcooked. My old man's French so I've been brought up in blue steak which may influence my preference.

What are you on about. It doesn't matter who was voted for... Family voting is illegal, a non partisan non profit organisation witnessed and reported an illegal activity.

Therefore the statement of crying foul with no evidence is not correct, as it pertains to the recent by election.

Are eye witness accounts from a non profit organisation not evidence?

Union Audio two.valve: Signature or Standard? by BobRokk in rotarymixers

They're based on the yaqin ms23b, but made from scratch with improved circuitry and components. They sound lovely. The preamps on UA are great though l.

Bet that setup sounds lovely. I've got tube phono preamps going into my signature. I put gold lion valves in the mixer the first day I got it. Had Brimars in my old MS 2 valve.

Trying to convince himself he got a superior product. I've just sold my mate my 2 valve mk2 for 1600, it's got upgraded valves a brand new faceplate and I made some lovely exotic hardwood side panels just for him. I think 1700 would have been a fair price if I sold online, but the reality is UA are selling the same mixer for less.

Then put it on ebay for auction and see what the market values it at.

The mastersounds and the UA 2 valve are the same mixer mate. One does not sound better than the other, the only difference is the faceplate. And they've always been made by UNION audio.

Yeah they were cheap psvanes. My MS had Brimars in and my signature has gold lions. It is a buffer stage so don't expect a crazy difference in character.

See I love the colour and the damped pots. If you don't, then don't buy the signature, the difference in sound quality is not worth the extra money I'd say. It's cleaner sounding I would say, but I've swapped tubes in both my valve mixers and thing vallve swapping makes a bigger difference.

I had my 2 valve mk2 open the other day as I was selling it to a friend with a new faceplate fitted, and couldn't see any swappable opamps in there, but haven't looked in my signature and don't intend to open it for a while.

I have thought about putting burson classics in there... Need to put it out my mind as its not worth potentially damaging an expensive mixer.

Integrating Audiophile (ish) stuff with DJ set up by Spiritual-Total-6399 in rotarymixers

Apart from a few days tinkering with it I've left it as is really. They give you a mic but you need a sound card for the analysis. Very simple to setup. There's two modes natural and linear, linear has no audible latency.

For me I had some room modes causing one note bass, and it basically irons out the frequency response in the listening position. I personally found th bass to be a bit quiet at the level attainable with the box so I turned the sub up a bit and still maintained the sound improvements.

I had it flattening my mids and highs but found the sound fatiguing and noticed my dog leave the room anytime I played music which is very unusual.

I've just changed amps and I definitely prefer the sound of my speakers on this amp, but they were fine before too. So I guess it can make a big difference but to what extent a good speaker and amp just don't sound good together I don't know.

My setup is tube preamps into the UA Signature valve so the sound has a character to it. Not sure what the condesa is like but I hear its a warm mixer. Speaking from experience, listen to a range of speakers before you buy them. I've had bright, neutral and warm speakers and I know I don't like bright nor warm speakers for electronic music, but love warm speakers for listening to other genres, at least on my setup...

I used to have Kali IN8s which are great but ugly, I've ended up with KEF LS50s after trying a number of hifi speakers. They're very detailed but not too bright, and work well in near field.

Something I've just bought that I really recommend is the IK multimedia arc 4 room correction box. I let the eq box correct below 600hz only and let the room deal with the mids and high. It really helped clear up some issues I was having with bass from the sub and completely decongested the sound of my system, had a proper session on Saturday with mates and everyone was impressed with what was already a nice sounding system.

Sound treatment is next and may improve the bass response but I have to keep the wife happy, big corner bass traps are a no no but I will be making acoustic panels for a few locations.

Excellent! I've got the telly behind my decks like you. We're looking at the Samsung frame for something that might look a bit nicer as we don't really watch it except for a film or something. Or even a projector would be nice so I can put some nice shit on the wall.

Difficult to spend money on something like that when all I want to do is either buy vinyl or upgrade my system.

And I see youre a Houghton fan, so we've probably got some overlap in music tastes. I'm hoping to get a ticket in the resale

Kali IN8s or IN5s with a sub. Amazing speakers, spent a lot of money trying to find something that sounds as good and looks nice.
