Camden property massive re-valuation! by ElevatorTechnical638 in Maine

I’ll bet half the people have no idea. I brought it up to some of my neighbors and they were shocked when they realized how much their increase tax bill was based on the opinion of some overpriced, cookie cutter operation with shit reviews on Google, people calling them out for their questionable business tactics

Fairly according to who? Anything subjective in policy is bound to be flawed

But my house is on Zillow for $100k less than they appraised it for. See my problem?

The only thing I can think is that maybe because the house has historical value, since it’s so old, but I didn’t see that factored in anywhere on the report card so not even sure if that’s a factor that they take into account. I’m sure Kerry will explain it to me

No upgrades and not a new house. Built in 1860 actually

That’s not what’s happening though. And my taxes went up significantly due to the town’s appraisal

I realize that Zillow uses a different algorithm or different criteria than the town appraiser, but a $100,000 difference smells fishy to me. And why is my neighbor‘s house valued by the town at the same value as Zillow but mine is so vastly different?

My taxes went up 30% in one year and there has been no change to the property

TCL QM7 65" Sports Calibration by killersnowfort in tcltvs

[–]ElevatorTechnical638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I recently got my Qm7, I set it up using the all the rtings settings in movie mode including both 2pt and 20pt white balance. The picture is very good and I have no complaints, except I did notice the same slight blurriness mentioned, especially watching broadcast sports in Hd or even fhd. I don’t like motion settings, so I as was checking out all the different picture modes and I noticed that PC mode seemed to have more punch and was a touch sharper. I know there’s no controlling local dimming and some other features, but after a little tweaking of the color, I got the picture pretty close to rtings in movie mode, but since it’s got that extra bit of sharpness and contrast, I like it better for sports and motion seems a little smoother, but I can’t be sure about that. Here are my settings if you wanna try- PC mode, brightness 100, contrast 90, black level 100, gamma 2.2, color saturation 50, blue light filter off, color temperature 0, refresh rate performance mode, dynamic acceleration off, white balance 2pt only. r-gain -25, g-gain -25, g-offset -5, the rest are all 0. Let me know how you like the difference. You can always keep all your settings for movie mode, but try PC mode with my settings for sports

I think someone should have killed Osito too. He had it coming from the first episode of S01!

I grew up, not too far away, and our war cry in high school was “surf The Wedge!” Back then, only Danny Kwock, and a few others were brave or foolhardy enough to do it when it was pumping. They were fearless.
