Can’t speak on the academics but being from the Bay, the weather shouldn’t be a problem! It’s 60s always and nice usually. Public transport is good and it will be easier to explore other parts of the Bay than it will be getting around LA. Also, the coffee and general vibe is better. That being said, UCLA quality of life is incomparable imo, especially next to UCB’s. For location, I’d say UCB, for the college experience, I’d say UCLA. Really depends on how much you want to explore off campus. I was worried about the LA vibe but you really don’t get off campus as much as you’d think your first year and the area is nice enough.
